   Our New Year's Day dinner at Reign was outstanding! Half a dozen oysters to start, nice and fresh with freshly shave horseradish and two sauces; entrees consisted of lobster linguine, perfectly cooked al dente, braised beef cheeks that were melt in your mouth tender, Cornish hen and duck a l'orange, cooked medium. Everything tasted delicious (we like to share!) and the presentations were first class. Entree plates were nice and warm, the sigh of a top-notch venue. Services was very professional, charming and impeccable. We felt very well taken care of, in an authentic way. Place was not full, but we weren't looking for a high-energy place after NYE. It was very enjoyable and just the dinner we were looking forward to kick off 2025. Also the decor around the hotel was simply stunning, well done Royal York! We will definitely be back, and not just on special occasions. Merci!

   This was our second experience with breakfast at Reign. The first was not the best, but today was very different. The food, service and seating were all excellent. The food was delivered to the table quickly and our server was attentive to our needs and quite apologetic when there was no tomato juice available. We're happy that we decided to try breakfast at Reign again!

   Michael, the manager, made the day for us as we were one hour late and he made it worthwhile for us. Pleasant experience.

   Extremely disappointing for NYE. An expensive dinner pre booked months in advance where you felt like a number at a pump and dump. We waited 20 minutes before a waiter even greeted us and offered us water. The food was not fresh and the main arrived cold. It was obvious everything had been sitting. The waiter was overwhelmed and rushed. The hotel did comp our entire meal and we left the waiter a good tip. Still ruined the evening we were expecting to be magical. Although I love the Royal York, I would never eat at Reign again.

   My wife and I stayed at the Royal York for 2 nights and had a reservation at Reign for New Years Eve. We were promptly seated at a lovely table and our server John attended to us right away and remained attentive for our entire dining experience, which lasted 3 1/2 hours. There was a set menu for the evening and with my wife requiring gluten-free fare, John immediately spoke to the chef and informed us that menu accommodations could be made for the entire 6 courses as needed. Every course was delicious and when it came to the main, beef tenderloin was substituted for the beef wellington. The beef was cooked to perfection and was 'melt in your mouth' tender. The flourless chocolate cake for dessert was incredible and beautifully presented, as was each previous course. We asked John if we could speak to the chef, and chef Roland attended our table. We expressed our thanks for the many accommodations and my wife told chef Roland that her meal was one of the best she'd ever had. Thank you to chef Roland, John and the entire Reign staff for making our New Years Eve so enjoyable!

   Really disappointing NYE dinner. It took over 45 mins for our drink/food order to be taken. My partner ordered a cocktail that never came. Our server was nice but clearly overwhelmed with the number of guests he was serving. The food was also not up to par with the prices we were paying - the caviar and salmon dishes were bland and uninspired, and the crust on the beef Wellington was undercooked and had a mushy texture. Overall I was extremely disappointed by the meal and overall service - I expected better from the Royal York(and the price point).

   Booked the NYE experience for six people. The restaurant was super understaffed and all the tables were waiting hours for a single plate to be served. On top of that the food was served cold and poorly cooked. Some tables that arrived after us were getting their food before we got served. Worst thing is we paid $179 per person. Don’t waste your time and money.
