We had a lovely dining experience. It was noted on our reservation that we were celebrating our anniversary and we were surprised to see a special touch and sweet card at our table. (We were married at the chapel at Tlaquepaque and had our reception dinner at Rene 10 years ago!) The restaurant staff were all very warm and professional and our server was exceptional. We were appropriately attended to and the food was excellent. It’s a lovely restaurant with great ambience and attention to detail. Thank you for a lovely evening!

A wonderful meal servers by a gracious staff that worked so well together to enhance our dining experience. So many menu choices with explanations by our waiter that made it easier to choose. A very nice wine list with many by the glass options, I started with the lobster bisque , very rich and loaded with lobster meat. For our entrees my wife ordered the Wagyu beef cheeks (which I got to taste) - like nothing we have ever had before. So tender and complemented with the vanilla reduced beef broth that the cheeks were cooked in was a real tase treat. My steak was done just like I like it and the beef was so tender. All this was topped off by their rich. And marvelous chocolate soufflé all served with elegance. Overall an incredible dining experience which if we ever get to Sedona again we will book a meal at Rene’s.

Everything was fantastic. We had seared sea bass with scallops and it was amazing, and the petite filet mignon with sweet potatoes. So delish. Add in some Sancerre wine, an amazing patio setting to provide ambiance and impeccable service. This place never disappoints. Highly highly recommend this place.

It started off well, the bartender was wonderful! They helped us pick out our perfect wine for a perfect evening. However, it unraveled after that point. The steak was charred and overdone, they forgot a sauce of mine, and it was pretty obvious because there was an open space for the sauce on the plate. Then I tried the spinach which and way too much salt. I never send anything back but I did for the spinach and even then when I got a new one, it was still really salty. A $300 plus meal I expected more.

Avoid this restaurant! The place was near empty, and after being greeted by some very unwelcoming staff who definitely didn’t want to be there, we were seated in a too dark corner. Our server wasn’t really engaged, at all. We were close enough to overhear a conversation between 2 other patrons and their server…let’s just say we wish we’d had him instead. Actually, scratch that, they were all loud and annoying and destroyed any semblance of romantic atmosphere (we were on our honeymoon) that we may have enjoyed. Also note to said server, who clearly was senior staff…maybe try not displaying preferential treatment to certain customers? It’s a bad look. The foie gras was drenched in cloying balsamic and chutney, and not a great experience. The cacio e Pepe was average. My husband had the Nicoise salad and it was underwhelming and poor value. The seared tuna was spongy and unappealing. As we overheard, the server at the other table admitted that “Sedona doesn’t have good fine dining”…and I will say, this restaurant is not it. Avoid this place like the plague, it is the worst “upscale” experience I’ve ever had.

Francisco was our waiter and he was great! He had our porterhouse sliced before serving it, was very helpful with our wine selection. The food was delicious. Highly recommend this restaurant.

Rene is a great place to relax and enjoy an excellent meal. Prices are on the high side, but it's worth it. Service is prompt, friendly, and thoughtful. Food presentation is excellent. The ambiance is superb here -- quiet and dimly lit, relaxed pace of service that makes for a soothing, luxurious experience. Nice variety of dishes on the menu, and a pretty extensive wine list.

My soup didn’t come til 15 mins after everyone else Starter. Waiters seemed razzeled and confused all evening. Not our normal experience at Renee’s.
