   Unbelievable attention the entire evening all the way around. Keith was very knowledgable of the wine choices and the fixed tasting for dinner was a delightful surprise and didn’t disappoint. Thank you for a wonderful evening

   We had an exceptional lunch at 1890 and just wished we hadnt left it so long to visit! the food was excellent across all of the courses; wines and cocktails similarly excellent and we would definitely return and recommend.

   The place itself is stunning. The waiting girls who take you to your seat were lovely. I didn’t like that the waiting staff change so much for the meal. I also really hated trying to be upsold the moment we sat down to have truffle on the courses. I was sitting looking at the window which looks out to mean girls which to be honest just cheapens the whole setting. Those curtains should be closed so you can’t see it. The food was presented very well but for the money you are paying was just not enough. I left hungry. The bread which was lovely they said they would bring out more and didnt. Wine was lovely. Would I go back…no not to that one. We waited years to go but the price being £600 for 2 of us for a meal and still being hungry just wasn’t worth it. We had told the restaurant it was my partners 40th and he got a birthday card, you would think they would have done a dessert for him or something special.

   I was quite apprehensive at dining alone at such a prestigious high end establishment, but i was happily surprised as soon as i walked in. The staff were incredibly professional and attentive, but also so helpful and friendly. I didn't feel alone at all. Always a smile and a listening ear to hear how wonderful the food and drink were. The food was incredible. With little upfront knowledge of what the menu would contain, i was relieved it was full of dishes i would have ordered myself, with seasonal ingredients presented and cooked in excitingly new way - for me anyway. It was all so well presented and described. Thank you all for making me feel so comfortable, welcome and incredibly fed!

   Dining surprise (a positive one!) of the year. Incredible tasting menu, provided on a blind basis, and lovely cosy ambience and friendly waiting staff. A real French influence but without the meat running off the plate. So much care and attention to every dish, with the blackcurrant and grape dessert amongst the best desserts I've had. Will be coming back.
