Experience award-winning fine dining in a modern, contemporary setting while supporting our highly talented students on their journey to professional excellence. Restaurant at Birmingham College of Food offers top quality food and service delivered by students training on our chef, food service courses under the guidance of industry expert tutors at University College Birmingham.

Restaurant provides exceptional value for money for high levels of cooking, service, creative flair and quality seasonal produce. Our Dinner Menu might include delicious fish and shellfish, premium beef, lamb, poultry or game, and imaginative vegetarian dishes. This runs alongside a lunchtime menu providing excellent value for money. The restaurant also draws on a dedicated pastry section where our skilled student chefs produce an array of elegant desserts.

The restaurant is available for exclusive use for private events for lunches and or dinners. with the capacity to accommodate 120 guests, it is the perfect space. We offer menus to suit you and your guests, this can be for birthdays, Holy Communions, special anniversaries, we are here to help. For a private event only please call 0121 604 1000 and ask the Reception team to transfer you to Anna Hughes, Head of Commercial Sales.

This was a return visit for us and it did not disappoint. We went on a Friday because there are more choices on the menu. The food was amazing, particularly the sole starter. The quality of the food in terms of both ingredients and cooking is impressive. As usual, the students did a great job and were attentive and friendly. Not to be missed!

First visit of’25 but every bit as good as before. The food was excellent and fabulously presented. We were accompanied by 2 newbies who commented “it was worth double!” The staff were watchful but unobtrusive and the students were very friendly and attentive. No missteps all night We’re coming back

The value, quality, and flavour of the food was a amazing. Service was excellent. It even looked like a fine dining restaurant,even though it was inside a university. We will be coming back.

Once again there was some excellent food at UCB. We particularly enjoyed the lemon sole and the pork belly. A Sauvignon Blanc from Halfpenny Green was a real success and new to many of us. Service was variable but the students were only in their second week of actually waiting at table.

First visit of the year to the restaurant. Everything was fabulous as usual. Menu had a great selection, Apple trifle was wonderful and Evan our waitress was lovely. She was able to explain when asked questions about the food with confidence. Wishing her good luck for the future.

Had such a lovely time. Everything was excellent. Had the three course Monday-Wednesday menu and it was delicious and the service was very good too.

The food was lovely we enjoyed the pre starter and complimentary pre dessert to I thought that was a lovely idea.Our trainee waiter was very quiet and unfortunately his personal hygiene was not the best when he bent over me it wasn’t pleasant to smell that.Overall thought it was a lovely experience thankyou for making our night special.we will be returning one day.

Excellent meal at the College of Food. Amazing bread & arancini to begin. Lemon sole starter was delicious, pork belly was so tender. Orange & dark chocolate baked alaska was lovely to finish off the meal. Great service from the students.
