Nice old fashioned experience. Great views across Torbay. Food very good and plentiful. Friendly service and a good atmosphere.

the reception was in a room more suited to an old folks home. There is no Christmas festive spirit. The food is bland no seasoning. The only thing you’ve got Christmas is on there with cranberry sauce. The vegetables were disgusting and The turkey look like a TV dinner we were presented with bills at the table and drinks arrived. I thought they all experience was disgusting and for £120. We were totally robbed.

The afternoon tea was very good value. Staff attentive but not to much. View wonderful.

Thank you so much it was for my parents 65th anniversary, the service was fantastic the girls went out of their way to make it a memorable experience and the food was just as good. It was better than a cream tea I had a few weeks ago that was 3 times the cost. And you can’t beat that view, it was a lovely afternoon that I throughly recommend

Overall a good experience. The food was delicious, well presented and good portions. The service was very friendly and accommodating. We were pleasantly surprised and look forward to returning again.

We booked via open table although we were staying at the hotel. We asked reception when we needed to pay for the tea. They said we could pay on the day or on our final bill. I asked for it to be put on our final hotel bill. Our afternoon tea was lovely taste wise overall, plenty of sandwiches and the cakes were yummy. The sausage roll was good but the savory tarts were missing. We enjoyed the selection of jam and lemon curd with the scones. Beautiful views over the bay and it was very relaxed. Service was slow to non existent and could have done with being checked on at some point. We settled the bill with the hotel reception at the end of our stay and made our comments and the hotel agreed to adjust our final bill which was satisfactory. We would return again, as the afternoon tea was delicious and great selection., hopefully the service will be better next time.

Beautiful surroundings, nothing was too much trouble. Food choices were excellent and plentiful. Waiting team were friendly and efficient, and once again nothing was too much trouble. Table was perfect overlooking the sea. A Great afternoon tea that I would recommend.

The hotel restaurant itself is very lush with breathtaking sea views. There is something definitely lacking with the service. The staff are so slow and unbothered. Iv had better service at Nando’s honestly. It’s such a beautiful place please consider hiring more energetic and vibrant staff

Unfortunately the service was very slow and we had to wait nearly an hour before the afternoon tea arrived at the table.
