   Went for NY Eve Couldn’t order a glass of wine. Served only bottled wine or champagne or beer or juice or cocktails. Quite ridiculously actually. Food was ok but nothing to brag about. Didn’t like atmosphere or service. Seemed rushed. Not a fan of the area and surrounds. Prefer other parts of Barcelona. Just didn’t feel authentic and no ambiance or Spanish music.

   Obwohl wir früh zu Silvester da waren, erhielten wir nur einen reservierten, beengten „Katzentisch“ am Rande - viele Zweier-Tische waren noch frei. Es gab nur eine Silvestermenukarte und Weinkarte - keine Getränke-Karte! Keine Aperitiv-Angebote - und das zu Silvester. Der Service war von Anfang an schlecht gelaunt und herrisch. Toiletten verdreckt. Musik viel zu laut und albern. Auf Nachfrage nach einem Ramazotti oder Grappa verwies die unfähige Bedienung auf den Barkeeper. Der sagte: das habe man nicht! Er bot „vergleichbar“ einen Mandellikör an. Völlig falsch! Beim Bezahlen unfreundlicher Patron des Hauses - kein Dank für Trinkgeld, kein Aufwiedersehen, keinen Gruß für das Neue Jahr. Können wir auf keinen Fall empfehlen!! Die guten Bewertungen auch bei Tripadvisor sind überhöht. Lustloses Restaurant. Kann man nur abraten.

   We saw the Paella on a list for best in the city and it absolutely stood up to the hype. If you’re in the Gothic Quarter, this spot is an easy 5 minute walk from the main attractions and it has a great mix between upscale and relaxed ambiance. The paella is incredible and the service is personable. The drinks are authentic and overall we’re relieved we went to this place for paella before leaving Barcelona. Definitely recommend, and I don’t even leave reviews like that

   We had read the reviews for here and thought we were going to a decent restaurant. Somehow we had got that wrong - this is a rough and ready place where you can go to fill the gap - in and out quickly, no lingering. This is absolutely fine and sometimes necessary but not when you are expecting a more high end experience. When we got there the football was on full volume and we were ushered to a table by the kitchen serving hatch. The menus were plastic and not very clean and the pasta was the same for each dish but with a different sauce plonked on top. However, the tapas were good. So, if you go, try the tapas, stay away from the pastas, dont expect a long wine list and don't get dressed up in your best gear.

   Although the restaurant was closed due to a power outage they walked us down to their sister restaurant who had same menu and same owners. The place was excellent.

   The paella was delicious! We tried the seafood, the vegetarian and the chicken. The sangria was good and served in huge goblet glasses. Service was good. It was very crowed so recommend a reservation for sure!

   It’s a lovely intimate location with nice artwork and the staff are very friendly and accommodating. I would like to go back.

    She was really helpful and suggested the aubergine with goats cheese and honey-amazing. We had really delicious cod in almonds and some other tapas to share. They were really friendly in there We met some other amazing diners and it was a shame we did not exchange Instagram with him and my daughter
