Revel is a casual American restaurant and Gastro Bar located in Downtown Pittsburgh, steps from Market Square. Revel has a classic breakfast offering as well as a unique lunch and dinner menu. My wife and I went in for brunch and decided to sit at the bar. Where we were ignored for 15 minutes. After placing our drink order we waited another 10 minutes for our drinks to arrive. We then ordered our food which never arrived…after waiting for 30-40 minutes we paid for our drinks and left.. needless to say we were very disappointed and will not be returning.

Great food and a great vibe. Service was fantastic and we were checked on not just by our waitress, but also the other staff including our hostess. Definitely not a quiet place, but this is part of the deal. Just overall awesome.

I was part of a party of four. We all had one drink. My date and I split a house salad, she ordered the pork chop (she loved it) and I ordered the blackened salmon (it was good). The other couple enjoyed their orders (a salmon dinner salad and the chicken fritte. Service was fine. the only complaint I have is that my straight-up Manhattan cocktail was served in a rocks glass instead of a cocktail glass. All in all, we enjoyed our meal, most everything was fine, but nothing flashy.

Very slow service from beginning to end. Brunch was very small menu...Food was ok...place is super cute

Lovely place and convenient if you are staying at Hilton Garden Inn. The breakfast food was delicious but be prepared to wait. We waited about 25 minutes for a server to greet our table (4 people) and take our order. We waited another 30 minutes for our food. We were not offered any drink refills and thank goodness you can pay your bill online because we probably would have waited a long time to cash out. Again, it’s convenient, but only if you are patient, and have time to kill.

Our table was ready, but we were asked to stand by the front door since the kitchen was busy. When I asked why we couldn't wait at our table, she sat us. The food was a too greasy (oily?) and the salmon was overcooked. The service was very good at the beginning but then we think our server got lost. They had to brew a new cup of coffee after our meal which took 15-20 minutes. We started to get up (since we had play tickets) to pay at the bar when the manager (?) came over with the coffee. She got the bill and took our card and put the coffee in a to go cup. The coffee turned out to be horrible and was pitched in the first waste can. We will not be back.

Service was good but we waited an hour for our food. Then the chicken came out raw. While they did comp us, nobody came out to apologize. The place wasn’t busy at all. Out waitress was good under the circumstances.

Server name was mikee, worst server we have ever had. Made reservations, seated quickly. Server didn’t even come to the table for at least 20 minutes and they weren’t busy. Took forever to get drinks, not because the bartender, the server left our drinks at the bar until he felt like bringing them over. Another server had to fill our water and order our next round of drinks, again they sat at the bar until our server felt like bringing them over and he slammed them on the table. Luckily the food was really good, took a long time as well. Management really needs to pay attention to who they hire and correct their employees when they are that bad.
