Rhapsody is a casual fine dining restaurant featuring Local Appalachian cuisine. Located in downtown Nelsonville, Ohio's beautiful Public Square, the Rhapsody is easy to get to and is centered in the arts district.

These cutting-edge comfort foods use local fresh ingredients, including vine ripe tomatoes, garden grown basil, local Amish cheese, and house made cheese spreads. Our steaks, chops, and chicken are produced locally, free of growth hormones and antibiotics. Our salads are made with fresh Athens area greens and vegetables. We had a very enjoyable dinner celebrating my husband’s birthday. The food was delicious and the music was enjoyable. The only reason that I didn’t mark everything perfect was that I had ordered a ginger ale with my dinner but never received it. I didn’t notice until I looked at my receipt at home but I was charged for it. I know that our server was busy but it would have been nice to have it.

A so-so experience at a high price. The ribeye was full of gristle. Both the ribeye and sirloin were overcooked (they were supposed to be medium rare but were medium well). Our server was nice but not attentive. Not worth the price we paid.

We went to Rhapsody on jazz night so we could enjoy live music during dinner. The overall experience was great! Good service from the front desk until we left. Never a moment when we did not think we were being carefully cared for by the server. The food was very good. I had lamb shank. Delicious! My wife had the pasta primavera ... lots of very fresh vegetables. Wines were a good pour, and there was a good selection of both beer & wine. I was visiting the area. If I were to return I would include Rhapsody as part of my travel plan.

Food was phenomenal. Service was very good as well. Ambiance was perfect and low noise until the 2-man band started playing. The music didn't fit the atmosphere. Other than that, it was a very good experience. Spinach artichoke dip was the best we have ever had. We ordered the Blackened Snapper and the Lamb Shank, which was excellent. And the Creme Brule did not disappoint at all. Overall 10/10.

Good steak. Tasty green beans. A little pricy but we have paid more certainly. I would go back for sure.

We loved everything about Rhapsody. It was a quiet night in a modern restaurant in an old fashioned town. Service by Hocking College students was attentive without being intrusive. The menu was interesting and our entrees were delicious. We splurged on desserts, also tasty. I definitely recommend this gem.

We went there to celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary last year this place was amazing ,this year. My wife ordered blackened salmon with asparagus and they brought her out lemon pepper trout with green beans and then said they were out of asparagus. My wife had to send it back by the time they brought her meal. I was already done with mine Because it was getting cold and I’ve had better gumbo from a food cart. It definitely was not worth it.
