Dinner was fantastic. Our server asked if we had any time restrictions, as they were busy and we had a show to get to. She was very straightforward about what could be done in time and what to avoid. We ordered accordingly and everything was top notch. Perfect portion size and we were in and out in less than 40 minutes on a busy Saturday night. We will be back!

Service takes FOREVER, food is just ok and overpriced. Definitely not a fan of auto gratuity at 20% regardless of party size. Servers lack a sense of urgency because they are getting 20% regardless. I won’t be back.

If you are going to a show at the Paramount, make sure you are seated 3 hours prior, especially on a Saturday.

Our first visit to Rider; we needed a good pre-theater restaurant. Rider turned out to be good, but with the staffing issues that so many places suffer from at the moment. Very convenient for our hotel and the Paramount theater, it was very busy when we arrived but the host found our reservation and we were seated promptly. The pervasive aroma of smoke from the wood-fired grill was very appetizing. Our cocktails were delivered promptly; our shared appetizer of a half dozen oysters came in good time, was well presented by a knowledgeable server (Jon) and were very tasty. Unfortunately, the filet mignon steaks we ordered did not arrive for quite some time (50-55 minutes after we first arrived), and they and the vegetables (nicely crispy fingerling potatoes and a side of very tasty roasted carrots) had apparently been sitting out for a while as they were definitely not as hot as they should have been. Their late delivery also meant that we didn't have time to order the dessert we would otherwise have enjoyed before we had to leave. The wine list by the glass was basic but OK, nothing special; we each had the Indian Wells cabernet. Overall, a good kitchen and good food, certainly worth a visit but needs to pay attention to service times.

We had Valentines dinner prior a show and my wife’s lobster was severely undercooked. The server was unpleasant and it took nearly 30 minutes for her to even acknowledge us. The floor manager had to pour waters and take drink orders. When the bill came, there was an automatic 20% charge included. Will not recommend or return

Nice place to go before a play at the Paramount two blocks away. Lots of available parking nearby. The noise level was a bit loud near the bar, so next time we go we will sit further from the menu is very doable and there should be something for anyone.

We chose a bad night for the restaurant: there were computer issues, and orders were backed up badly, resulting in us not getting one of our mains and getting the other over an hour from order. The check was partially comp'd but that did not make up for the anxiety of not knowing if our order was ever coming. The quality of the apps was fine, but the mains that did arrive were oversalted and overcooked. Maybe on a different night this would be better, but to have a negative experience on a Saturday was very disappointing.

I am so sorry for your experience on Saturday. We are working to resolve our computer issues so this doesn't happen again.

We have come to Rider multiple times and have always had a memorable dining experience, but last night was exceptional. We had a slight reservation mixup before coming in, and the Rider team more than made up for it. Our server Brenda was not only extremely efficient and professional at moving us through a seamless dining experience, but we really enjoyed chatting with her throughout the night as well. We had the brioche bread service, the mussels, and a surf and turf with the carrots and brussel sprouts on the side - all curated by the Rider team and tailored for a dairy restriction. The fantastic chefs popped in on us throughout the evening as well. We also enjoyed the wine pairing. Overall, we had a wonderful experience and will be back for the Fire & Ice!
