We came here 2 days before Christmas for lunch. We are from out of town & wanted a sit-down, simple lunch. They were very busy & seemed to be having g staffing issues. We saw several tables get up & leave. Maybe it was the time of year? A “hey, we’re short staffed today,” would have gone a long way. We ordered toasted ravioli, a sandwich & a salad. I’m not sure what the big deal is about the ravioli in STL. Maybe we need to try another place? They were hard & bland. The sauce for dipping was boring. Nothing we ordered had much flavor. I don’t give bad reviews very often, but we will not be back.

We were seated 30 minutes after our reservation. Had to ask for water after no one came to our table for 15 minutes, took an hour for our food to arrive after ordering, they ran out of salad so we didn’t get the salads included with our entrees. Rather than comping us even a little bit, we were told “since the salads are free, it doesn’t matter”. Worst. Restaurant. Experience.

The service and ambiance is exactly what you expect on the Hill. People are friendly and having a great time. The red sauces were great in every dish. And my husband’s tortellini was fabulous. The salad was meh, and all other pastas we tried were a little on the mushy side. The lasagna was especially disappointing as recommended by our server. Mushy, nursing home style pasta unfortunately.

The service was good. Prompt polite, checked in on us so no issues with the service. The food,, where do I start? First of all in an Italian restaurant I would expect the bread to be served warm and that it not be a French baguette that you buy at the freaking grocery store. So the bread came out and it was cold like having been in the refrigerator cold and the butter was so cold that you couldn’t spread it on the bread. My dish that I had which was a pasta dish the sausage in the pasta dish felt like it had been frozen and then just slipped into the frying pan. It was just really not up to par for a restaurant on the hill. It is a restaurant I would not recommend anyone and certainly wouldn’t return

Good food, horrible service. I don’t find fault with the servers but restaurant management has poor coordination with kitchen. Fettuccine Alfredo was good and so was calamari and Italian sausage sandwich. Took over an hour to get our food and server was frustrated with kitchen too.

The restaurant seemed overwhelmed. Our reservation was for 6 and they couldn’t seat us til about 6:15. Service was friendly but took forever for things to come out. Food was average. The house salad was pretty good.

We are so sad that the new Rigazzi ownership has chosen to significantly alter the original Rigazzi recipes. The veal Parmesan and pizza were very different from what we remembered. Pls go back to those original recipes! The new recipes are not nearly as good.
