Friendly service, excellent food - a memorable lunch. The past with lobster was a stand-out.

The steak night was disappointing. The steaks that me and my partner had were fatty and chewy.

The service was good and the staff were very friendly. I was excited to come here as the reviews I read were all positive. I bought the express lunch package which came with 2 canapés, a main, a drink (wine/beer) and a tea/coffe. I don’t drink alcohol so I asked if i could swap My wine with any kind of alcohol-free option. I was told no sorry, so I paid an extra $16 for a mocktail which was flavoured water and ice with an orange slice. The food was tasty, however, I made the mistake of ordering the burramundi. The serving was merger and it really needed a side for it to be substantial, however as I had pre ordered the lunch package there was no menu on the table and the wait staff did not recommend it may need a side. I felt hungry afterwards. The coffee was nice but I couldn’t finish it because I didnt want to risk over caffeinating myself while still hungry. The experience put a bit of a dampener on my day. It’s not a great feeling walking out hungry after spending $70 ish on a meal. I had to go to the grocery store and buy fruit immediately after as I needed the energy to enjoy my afternoon. I don’t think you should feel hungry after a $80 lunch, this could be avoided in future by paying a bit more attention to balancing the portion sizes in the lunch deals, or communicate to patrons they may need to order an extra dish.

Wonderful dinner occasion at this great restaurant. The food, the service and the ambience were superb. Ripponlea Food & Wine is a gem.

Friendly welcome, prompt service, very good recommendations from the menu. Catered for vegetarian, good value for happy hour cocktails, steak night. Excellent service from waitress. Food well presented and very tasty.

Went for steak night but meat was full of fat and gristle. Hard job cutting it with a steak knife. Not cooked over flame, more likely a hot plate. Served rare as requested but not a drop of blood as dry. Disappointed as expected far better and tastier food. Shame.
