Chef Philip Gagliano is a native New Orleanian of Italian descent who LOVES food! Learning his culinary skills from his mother and grandmothers, Chef Philip serves delightfully classic dishes in an elegant and inviting atmosphere. Menu specialties include Oysters al Oreganate, Chicken & Veal served in 5 classic Italian preparations and USDA Steaks alongside traditional Italian Pasta dishes.
Chef Philip says "I am very attached to my Italian roots and have been in the industry a long time. My wife Mary and I work diligently at the restaurant to make it a wonderful place to dine for all of our guests. We look forward to welcoming you into our restaurant".

Wonderful food and experience. My wife is Italian from New York City. She told Mary, one of the owners, that this was the best Italian food she has had outside New York and Italy. The service was expedient, the food was hot, the Lavazza coffee was delicious and the perfect complement to the cannoli. Ristorante Filippo went to the top of our list of Italian restaurants in Southeast Louisiana.

Ristorante Fillipos on West Napoleon and Causeway. I had chicken scallopini and my husband had pasta with Italian sausage. Both dishes were excellent and the chocolate martinis were the best. We enjoy eating here.

We arrived early but we were seated almost immediately. Our food was excellent and server was too.

It was Valentine’s Day so an hour in half wait was worth it ! I enjoyed the food amazing, very small , noisy , atmosphere was lovely , and service was decent . My appetizer did come out with the meals . That was the only mishap. Over all experience great, would definitely go back .

Besides being backed up due the Valentine’s Day, the night was great. The food was good and the service was good

The restaurant drastically overbooked for Valentines night. We arrived at our scheduled reservation time of 8pm, probably 20 couples outside waiting. They advised they were just seating the 7pm reservations. We decided to leave. Very disappointing.

Food was some of the best we’ve ever had. We had to wait an hour past the reservation time on Valentine’s Day, and it was STILL worth the wait.

Dined here for Valentine's Day dinner. Prefixed menu but good selection and food was excellent. They overbooked so even with a reservation we waited over 30 minutes to be seated. Tight seating so difficult to go to the bar to get a drink while waiting. Service was fine once we were seated.

I won’t be returning due to lack of parking and crammed space in the restaurant. If the food and service were exceptional I could over look the uncomfortable setting. We’re first shown a table that was in a doorway. We asked if there was another table. We were given another table. The waiter serving that table bumped the back of me 4 times and hit my head once with his elbow. He did say he was sorry the first time. The waitress serving us spilled ice tea down the back of my husband. She did bring a wet towel and bought him dessert. During our meal we heard a loud crash. A service cart had been turned over when a patron and our waitress knocked into each other. There are too many restaurants to choose from. I won’t settle for this one again.

As always the host and co owner Mary, greeted us like family. The food was a great value, quantity and taste to the upmost. No better Italian food in the Metro Nawlins Area.
