I wanted to try The Ritual House since the Post Gazette gave such high ratings. I made reservations for New Years Eve. It was pooring down rain. Hence dark outside. GPS was no help. We spent 20 minutes looking for the restaurant. The signage on the corner of the building was so dark we could not read it. Once inside it was very lively. My husband asked if they could make a moscow mule. The waitress said they could. But they could not. He ended up getting a specialty drink as well as I which was different and very good. He had the short ribs as many reviews raved about them. They WERE very good. I had Halibut which was also outstanding. The pretzel salad was a disappointment. I took it home with me. Frankly, it was not like my mother's recipe. There were 2 strawberries filled with what tasted like and the texture was llike vanilla pudding. There were no pretzels inside the strawberries and few lying beside as perhaps a side. Disappointing as others raved about it. Of course perhaps it was the presentation at the table. Not worth the price. Our waitress was pleasant, attentive but not overbearing. Atmosphere was noisy and energetic. But of course it was NYE! We had seating in the bar area, but had a nice booth. I would have liked to see what the other seating areas were like and if they were as noisy. I gave it 4 stars because it was difficult to find and because of the pretzel salad. Overall, it was an enjoyable experience.

Ambiance is amazing! Staff attentive, efficient and very friendly. Pricing is on par for town, but not your typical downtown eatery as far as portion size. Appetizers, salads and entrees were not only delicious, but we left with leftovers! We will be back!

We decided to celebrate New Year’s Eve at Ritual House and it did not disappoint! The food was great, and the service was even better! Nicole did a wonderful job making sure our drinks were full, food was tasty and she took the time to chat a little with us…that was really nice! We will definitely be back!

We are here for NYE. The food was delicious! Two of us had the Asian Chicken and it was fabulous! Cute atmosphere. Slippery floors, though!

I have been wanting to try Ritual House for months and never had the chance. I am visiting for NYE and drove about 5 1/2 hours to Pittsburgh. I was so looking forward to my meal here. There's a parking garage right next to the restaurant which was very convenient. The atmosphere was gorgeous and very inviting. So many photo opportunities and just to sit around and enjoy. Everyone was dressed up so festive and the staff was extremely kind. Unfortunately the food did not live up to expectations, especially for the price. The drinks were good. We got the french onion soup for an appetizer that my spouse and I split and it was decent. It came out almost immediately after we ordered which tells me it must have been sitting for a bit under a heat lamp. I ordered the 8oz filet mignon with mashed potatoes and chimichurri while he got the asian fried chicken with truffle fries. The truffle fries were to die for! The chicken with the slaw was delicious although if you got the chicken itself it just tasted like chicken you'd get with chicken and waffles at a diner. I ordered my steak medium however I had to send it back not once, not twice, but 3 times until I could eat it. It came out rare at best. Sent it back and it came out still rare. Sent it back again and it came out medium rare. Even the staff confirmed it was not cooked to medium. By the time they finally got my steak to medium, my partner was done eating and I had just started to eat. It was a decent meal but certainly not worth the price tag of $58. The management staff was incredible and ended up taking this off the bill and gave us a free dessert. While the food may not have been great, the service was and I truly appreciated how kind and friendly the staff was.

We came to celebrate my mom‘s birthday, which also happens to be New Year’s Eve. The atmosphere was lively, unique, and festive. The food was excellent. my steak frites were a little cool, but it was a very busy night. The cocktails were fun and delicious. The best part was the dessert. We had the strawberry pretzel salad, which came out in strawberries that poured open when you cut into them. They brought this out with a sparkler and cotton candy for my mom, who was delighted. The manager was very attentive and the staff were friendly and energetic. There is valet parking as well. Overall, we had a ball and will definitely be returning.
