   7/10 Not bad. Small portions of wine. Would recommend buying a bottle instead Tiny cocktails.

   The staff were lovely and attentive. From looking after coats to the good bye chao! Ordered 2 cocktails which were beautiful a x very tasty. Then onto starters Arancini and aubergine balls both incredibly tasty dishes. The main course let it down. Both pasta dishes carbonara and a rustic dish with pork cheeks both were served with some horrible lardons which were white unrendered fatty and inedible which ruined the dish really. Shame as everything else was tasty and spot on.

   Food and service were faultless. The only down side was that their music is way too loud! Very had to have a conversation over the music volume.

   The food and drinks were really nice! The only thing that let it down was the service. It took over 30 minutes for our drinks order to be taken.

   Lovely meal in a lovely restaurant. The on negative point I have is that it was too noisy, we were with friends and were unable to hear each other.

   We liked everything at Riva Blu. We arrived early and had a lovely cocktail at the bar area. Decor is very pretty as is the general ambience. Service was great and the food was absolutely delicious. Being gluten and dairy intolerant can be quite difficult when dining out but I was delighted to be told they could prepare the rosemary focaccia gluten free. It was amazing as was my pasta al fruta di mare. My husband ordered the pork cheeks pasta which he also thoroughly enjoyed. Definitely a place to return to on any future visits to Birmingham.
