   The restaurant has recently been refurbished and is beautiful - go for the experience if not the food. The female restaurant host was charming & helpful, set a nice precedent when we arrived. Had the set menu, using a voucher we were given for Xmas which included a cocktail - this was great value at £45 each. We did pay extra for sides, wine, water etc. which was another £175! The food was unremarkable, ok but not outstanding but ok at this price point. It was quiet as it was a Tuesday night but we had to ask several times for water & wine glasses to be refilled, dirty cocktail glasses were left until we ask for them to be removed. We’ll likely go back as my family love the Savoy but there is much better food to be had elsewhere.

   I recently visited this restaurant with a friend for a nice dinner, and overall, it was an enjoyable experience. From the moment we walked in, the staff was exceptional. The coat check attendants were friendly, the bartenders were skilled, and our server was attentive and knowledgeable. Every interaction with the team was a pleasure, and they truly made us feel welcome. Unfortunately, our evening was somewhat overshadowed by a fellow diner at a nearby table. This man seemed determined to find fault with everything, even going as far as to offer unsolicited feedback to the chef. He bizarrely name-dropped Gordon Ramsay in an attempt to bolster his credibility and, frankly, seemed to take pleasure in belittling the staff. It was uncomfortable to watch, and it was clear that he was trying to impress the woman he was with by putting others down. Absolutely gross behavior that left a sour note on an otherwise perfect evening. That said, everything the restaurant could control was flawless. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the staff went above and beyond to ensure we had a memorable experience. I highly recommend this place and look forward to returning—just hopefully without any "Gordon Ramsay wannabes" around next time!

   My mother’s 90th for a pre theatre supper was beyond our expectations, so reasonably priced , delicious food and wine and staff could have been more helpful. Definitely will be going back very soon.

   Review for River Restaurant by Gordon Ramsay ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ As always, our experience at River Restaurant by Gordon Ramsay was fantastic! We dined there on a Sunday with a small child, and the atmosphere was comfortable and welcoming, making it an enjoyable experience for the whole family. We had the Sunday roast – the beef was absolutely delightful, perfectly cooked and full of flavor. What impressed us even more was the kitchen’s flexibility—they happily modified the menu to create a vegetarian roast dish, which was much appreciated. The service was attentive yet unobtrusive, and the overall experience was exactly what we’ve come to expect from a Gordon Ramsay restaurant. Looking forward to our next visit!
