Taken too many bookings for them to cope with. Not their usual standard.

Outrageous, clearly overbooked over Xmas and after 1h20m said we did not have time for desert. Appalling service and conduct, never experienced that before. Same happened to multiple tables. Had planned to visit with the family in January, won’t ever return.

We had a lovely meal and the atmosphere was great. However, our food took about an hour to come!

Needed to move booking, several hours of no one answering phone (despite trying any and every option on the automated call answering service) before finally getting through, to be told rather rudely that the office had only just opened. It had not. Arrival, met by grumpy front of house, no offer to hang coat, grunted at to follow her to table. She dropped menus on table, pointed at the seat/s and left. Slow to clear table, coffee arrived without the hot milk requested and despite asking for water it just never arrived leaving us to have to resort to drinking the bottle of water purchased that morning on the way to the restaurant. Overall service was terrible. Will not be rushing back.

We have eaten here many times and this visit on 11th December was awful. The restaurant was too busy and even at the entrance we had to deal with people queuing to get in and out. This was worse when we left as they had fallen further behind. The beach chair we had one side of the table was broken and the back kept giving way. There was a gap between starter and main of an hour and then they brought out one incorrect dish, realised what they had done and said the other was being plated up. Meanwhile the rest was getting cold - nearly five minutes later the final main arrived. This was not cooked properly (belly pork) as the crackling was soft and there was more fat than meat - overall a terrible experience - over booked and poor service staff overworked. Such a shame as spoilt out day completely.

We ordered within 15minutes of arriving at our table, and we arrived early. The food was so slow to come, an hour in between our starters and mains. When we finished our main and asked to order our pudding we were told we couldn't because they needed the table back even though the reason it hd taken two hours for us to finish was the fault of the restaurant and not ours, we were kicked out before finishing our meal! Disgraceful... The general manager was also extremely rude about the situation and basically said that it wasn't his problem

Told to leave after 1hr 45 mins after being given pudding menu. Offered to re cork the red!! Nothing on reservation to say we were on the clock. Huge queue when we left. To say it’s gone downhill is an understatement. Very poor and disappointing That place started out as a cool, unpretentious gaff above a food market
