Robun is a tribute to Japanese author Kanagaki Robun and his 1872 book Seiyō ryōritsū, which introduced Western barbecue to Japan.

Our modern-day interpretation of Yakiniku specialises in sharing plates of beautiful robata grilled dished large plates fused with elements from across Asia, paired with inspired cocktails and an extensive choice of Japanese whiskeys or sake in the most inviting and sociable of settings.

Alongside our innovative selection of sashimi, salads and small plates, our fresh sushi is served in a variety of creative incarnations including soft-shell crab futomaki roll with kimchi mayo and a tobiko-topped nigiri.

Upstairs in the Kanagaki Suite, we provide an events space and Karaoke bar set to host celebrations and events, from bespoke meetings to the ultimate party.

Incredible service and amazing food. The sashimi was truly fresh and delicious, bao buns were light and fluffy, could not fault a single thing.

Unfortunately our worst meal in Bath. Service was horrible, food was horrible. This restaurant has low standards for what they “call” sushi. don’t waste your money here. The insult at the end was they added a 12.5% service charge - for horrible service!

Exciting dining experience. The food on the whole was excellent and beautifully served. The space was good. The cocktails were amazing. The best thing ward the service. Gigi our waitress was brilliant.

This was a first time visit for me and my friends and we weren’t disappointed. The food was amazing and the service was exceptional.

It was both my wife’s and my birthday, and I made a note of that when booking. When we arrived at the restaurant, we were shown to our table but then waited 20 minutes before anyone came to take our order—without even being offered water upon arrival. At the end of the meal, we ordered dessert, yet there was no acknowledgment of our birthdays—no “Happy Birthday,” no small gesture. For a bill of nearly £200, they could have at least added a simple birthday candle.

The food was superb ! Service slow but when escalated addressed very well - nice ambience and really busy so book table.

Had a family meal here for lunch which went really well. Great kids menu for them to try lots of different things and it was free with the half term deal. Cheaper than Wagamamas and you can’t compare how much better it is. Kids can’t wait to go back
