We are a high-low, fine-casual concept making simple, seasonal American cuisine inspired by the culinary traditions of Italy, France, & Spain.

Expect to see dishes that you are used to seeing at fancy restaurants & some you would typically find at a drive-thru or dive bar. but they all are served on a plate from Goodwill.

Our menus are ever-changing, not just by the season but by the day. we embrace change, creativity & inspiration every chance we get.

For groups of 2 people, we recommend ordering 4-6 dishes from the three sections of the menu (depending on how hungry you are!). for example - 2 snacks, 1 small share plate, & 1 large share plate.

The food is designed to be enjoyed family-style. As such, your food will be coursed out as we see fit. for groups ordering individually, we will do our best to get your order out all at once, but you may experience some slightly longer wait times.

We can’t wait to see you!

Each dish we had was perfect particularly the black cod which had mussles and parsnip along with it.

Sometimes great restaurants try to do too much to food, combining too many flavors or textures and forgetting the beauty of simplicity. While Roe is an excellent restaurant, I believe this is happening... First, we loved the salads at Roe - the combination of flavors and textures worked. I know we would have loved, loved, loved the focaccia if it were just focaccia: the addition of the serrano ham might have been okay, but having it sit in a "broth" of a sweet alfredo sauce made it too gloppy and unappetizing, without really adding anything to the beauty and flavor of the focaccia. Also, the Dungeness Crab mixture on a hashbrown was indistinguishable as crab, and rather than let the crab flavor (buttery and delicate) shine through, it was overwhelmed with the saucy mixture. The steamed clams and ricotta gnocchi were both excellent. Overall, the service and ambiance are great. We'll certainly go again and hope to see a few more menu items that enhance the flavor of the main ingredient rather than try to combine too many flavors into the dish.

Great atmosphere, great food and great for sharing. I took my partner here for dinner after I'd gone previously with friend. The food is innovative, not to mention delicious. You really can't go wrong with anything on the menu. The drinks are crafted with creativity and flavors that will leave your taste buds zinging. Roe is truly a great dining experience!

We ate in the bar (vert sparse decor), and the bartender and cocktails were top-notch! Unfortunately the rest of the meal was not. Salmon appetizer was smothered in honey, which masked the flavor of the fish. My wife’s gnocchi was very good, but it came out at the same time as the appetizer. Then we waited, and waited for my entree; I finally told my wife to go ahead and eat so it wouldn’t be completely cold. Waitress and bartender went to check a couple of times, but still no luck with my entree. An additional 10 minutes after my wife had completely finished (and just as I was getting ready to give up and leave), my clams finally showed up. Portion size was good but the clams themselves were very tiny. We had heard mostly positive reviews, so we’re really sad that our experience was so disappointing. :(

One of the best restaurants we've been to in the Pacific Northwest recently. The interior has a really cool, artsy vibe and the service was excellent, providing menu selection tips and recommendations. The focaccia with mortadella, mozzarella, alfredo, and parm could've been a dessert it was so yummy. The ricotta gnocchi was also delightful but their black cod stole the show with serrano ham, mussels, chiogga beets and broth -- who knew that combo of ingredients would taste and look so good!

Server was not very well-informed/seemed overwhelmed. Neglected to bring our ordered bottle of wine & when asked about it responded simply, “my bad,” which was in poor taste. Did not review reservation notes so was not aware of dietary restrictions & didn’t know what could be modified or safely eaten when informed of these. She was generally flippant & the process of bringing courses to the table was haphazard & poorly coordinated such that 1 person was served the second course while no one else was & two plates of the third course were cold before others had arrived. Offered instant coffee as the only option for after dinner beverages. The food was not astonishing & was overpriced for what it was. We were very excited to try a new spot but were unfortunately underwhelmed by the entire experience.

Wasn’t crazy about the set menu on Valentine’s Day, had heard good things about the food but suspect these weren’t their best dishes….

Food and service were very good. We were seated close to the opening door and with the temperature at freezing, every time someone entered, there was a definite chill. We kept our coats on throughout the meal, which did not add to our "dining pleasure".

So great to have fine, creative cuisine options in Bellingham. Portions are generous for this type of menu which is often not the case. Flavors in every dish, from starters to dessert, were complex and balanced. Looking forward to the next visit!
