   Enjoyed sharing a few plates with a good friend at Roe in Bellingham last evening. Food was well prepared with some flavor filled combinations. Our favorite was the Gnocchi with mushrooms- very delicious!

   The food and service are impeccable. The ambiance is a bit stale for such upscale prices, but that’s easy enough to tweak

   The entire meal and dining experience was superb. This is a restaurant with a huge commitment to delicious interesting food. The service was personable, helpful, and attentive. I believe that Roe is the finest restaurant in Bellingham.

   The food was exceptional and the service as well. Our server Jess was knowledgeable, fun and professional. The beet salad with radicchio and blue cheese was so good I can't stop thinking about it. Will definitly be back!

   We've been to this location when a previous restaurant operated here. The kitchen was much the same, with the addition of a great bar overlooking the kitchen. We sat at the bar and thoroughly enjoyed watching all the action and attention being placed on each order. We had a nice conversation with the owner/chef to understand the philosophy of the restaurant. We both had the Ling Cod which was fabulous with a variety of flavors that overlapped each other with amazing surprises. I commented that this dinner was in the top 3 of all top-of-the-line meals I've enjoyed in my 75 years on this planet. We will definitely be making Roe a recurring date-night choice. We ate at 7:30 as the main dinner crowd was starting to leave, but the noise level was still quite high. I would recommend either earlier or later if you want to carry on a conversation. I was gold Sunday is best for an intimate experience with smaller crowds.
