The Roma is a throwback, classic American Italian restaurant located in the heart of the West End on Congress St, that pays tribute to the great American Italian restaurants of decades past. The Roma will serve classic Italian-American fare in a relaxed and comfortable dining room. Love for comfort food.

There's no question why this restaurant has such amazing staying power over the course of many decades. The pastas and sauces are obviously fresh as soon as they hit your mouth. The service is friendly and attentive without being overbearing. The price is commensurate with other restaurants in the rest of the city. Don't pass up this somewhat hidden gem.

As always, Roma ticked every box. The food was excellent and the service impeccable. The menu had some wonderful seasonal dishes like the winter salad which were nice changes to our usual order. We highly recommend a trip to Roma…it may become a regular part of your dining out rotation as it has for us!

Outside lighting was nonexistent, so it was hard to identify the building from the street. Bar stock was limited.

We had a lovely meal before a show at the Cross Insurance Arena. The service was a bit slow and our server seemed a little flustered but she did a great job of getting us out (with dessert) in time. My husband and I split 2 entree both of which were very good, the cacio e Pepe ravioli and the short ribs. We had the tiramisu for dessert which was a contemporary twist on an old favorite. That was REALLY good. My only disappointment was that you had to purchase focaccia for the table, which we chose not to. When you go to a higher end Italian restaurant you expect great bread to be brought to the table. I don’t think I was ever asked to purchase bread. I also believe they should rethink charging $10 for pasta as an add on for the eggplant parm. Seemed a bit much.
