   The trendy restaurant was nicely decorated and the patio looked really nice (we sat inside). The cocktail was delicious! The service was quite slow, with the waiter rarely checking on us. The food was good, not great - a little disappointing considering the prices and this being Saturday night. I did really like the curated menu and limited choices while still providing a good variety.

   Every single item we had at the table was delicious. Nonna’s meatballs, were the best I have ever had.

   It was a very good first experience. The Basil Smash was an excellent starter cocktail (even if you prefer bourbon). The risotto, kale salad and chicken were excellent. Note: the salmon ordered with the risotto was underwhelming. I look forward to another visit.

   Service was great , Cardinal was great. Ambience very nice and good vibe. The grill cheese was ok, sandwich over toasted/grilled and barely any cheese on it

   Worst service I’ve gotten in a long time. We were practically forgotten in plain site. Had to bring empty water bottle to bar three separate times to get more water. They were out of ingredient in an appetizer we ordered and instead of telling us they were out, she just didn’t bring us our appetizer. There wasn’t much inventiveness in way of the menu and it was overpriced for the quantity of food that was given. I won’t be spending my money here again.

   Umbrella they had outdoors fell on top of my baby food was mid very nice people at the restaurant our server took 40 minutes to bring our drinks and to take our order

   We decided to come to Rome + Fig for a date night because we had visited for brunch a couple of years ago and had such a great experience that we wanted to return for dinner. Unfortunately, while the brunch left a lasting impression, dinner did not live up to our expectations. Our server was wonderful—friendly, attentive, and truly doing her best—but it was clear she was the only one working the floor, which made the experience feel chaotic. I really felt for her, as she seemed overwhelmed, yet she remained professional and kind throughout the night. The atmosphere at dinner was drastically different from brunch. Inside, the music was so loud it felt more like a nightclub than a restaurant, so we opted for the patio to have a more comfortable experience. I started with an Old Fashioned, which took quite a while to arrive. While it wasn’t terrible, it certainly wasn’t great—especially at the price point. Using small ice cubes instead of a single large one meant it melted too quickly, diluting the drink and affecting the experience. As for food, the appetizers were the highlight of the meal. My partner had the meatballs and enjoyed them, and I ordered the fried green tomatoes, which were flavorful but misleading—they weren’t green tomatoes at all, just regular red ones, making them soft and mushy rather than crisp. Unfortunately, the entrees were where things really fell apart. While the menu descriptions were enticing, the execution was seriously lacking. The dishes were bland, with salt seemingly the only seasoning used. The proteins were drastically overcooked and disappointingly small for the price. When you’re paying $30+ per entrée, you expect a certain level of quality and portioning, neither of which were delivered. At the end of the night, our bill came to over $160 for one drink, two appetizers, and two entrees—and for that price, the meal should have been exceptional. Instead, it left us wishing we had chosen another spot.

   I have been there multiple times and had a great experience. Unfortunately, the last visit left a bad taste in my mouth (literally). Maybe because it was Valentine’s night and we arrived late my son and I, but the TUNA poke was tasteless with no seasoning and the rice tasted old and dry. Was very disappointed. May give it another chance.

    The food was very disappointing. We started with the green tomato caprese, which was just okay. For our main course, we both ordered filet, but the meat quality was poor. One of the steaks was so gristly and tough that it was inedible. When we mentioned this to our waitress, she apologized and offered to bring a replacement. I opted for the chicken kale salad instead. Given the situation, one would expect some priority in service, but we waited another 20 minutes for the salad. When it finally arrived, the chicken was overcooked, dry, and difficult to chew. Considering it was Valentine’s Day, the experience was even more disappointing. This was easily one of the worst dining experiences we’ve had in the past couple of years.
