Rooftop in Walnut Creek offers a stunning view of Mt. Diablo while providing creatively prepared new American cuisine. Owners Jim and Jennifer Telford, along with partner and Executive Chef Justine Kelly offers guests a beautiful outdoor lounge for dining out with friends. Besides the picturesque surroundings that also showcases downtown Walnut Creek, Rooftop has a living wall with lush greenery and water features. Guests can feast on black cod wrapped in a banana leaf with pea shoots, lamb meatballs or other flavorful plates. Delicious desserts, fresh salads and bar bites will also satisfy the appetite. With mentions in publications like Diablo Magazine and California Home Design, Rooftop is a wonderful location for a business lunch or a romantic evening out with a date. Join us for a memorable weekend enjoy the best views of the city! For parties of more than six guests, a food and beverage minimum spend of $50 per person is required. On Fridays and Saturdays, we can accommodate up to 12 guests per reservation. Please note that table dining times are limited to two hours. Many of our tables are high-tops with backless chairs; if this seating arrangement doesn’t work for your group, kindly request accommodations in advance. We offer a 15-minute grace period for late arrivals. If you anticipate being more than 15 minutes late, please give us a call. Seating and location are subject to availability. A 20% service charge will be applied to your bill. We look forward to welcoming you!

I was told this place was great so I made reservations for me and my friend visiting from Arizona. This place did not disappoint! The seating hostesses was friendly upon arrival. Service was great throughout the dining experience. Love the vibe! Everything on the menu looked yummy 😋. I had the salmon and my friend had pasta with shrimp. Both were delicious. Drinks were delicious had the huckleberry sunset. Highly recommended if you’re in the area!

Rooftop is definitely my favorite place in Walnut Creek. Always great service and the food is always exceptional. 10 out of 10 Perfect for girls night out or a nice Sunday brunch with your daughter’s.

Went for lunch. The tacos were meh. The short ribs were fire. Our server, Ricky, was great! The service overall was amazing. Great view! I recommend and will return.

We had a party of 11 and we arrived early and were seated quickly. The staff was very attentive and accommodating when we added two more seats to our reservation. The food was delicious we started with calamari it was breaded but bread fell off. The calamari was cooked perfectly. We ordered dumplings and pork belly and I could eat that all day! We ordered ribeye steak and pulled pork over mashed potatoes and veggies and a side of Brussel sprouts. All of our food was perfect. Some people ordered cocktails and they all were tasty! Overall food was terrific. We sat inside so no view. I would love to go back so we can check out the view. Unfortunately we were unable to explore as there was a private party. It’s pricey but great spot for a date night or celebration

First time there for dinner. We enjoyed ourselves. The food was good. One salmon and one Halibut with Risotto. Cocktails are pricey but they were good!

My wife didn’t want a big spectacle on her 60th birthday, so we decided to have a quiet lunch at Rooftop. She ordered a salad topped with a grilled salmon. I had the sea bass with risotto, and my daughter had the spicy rigatoni with chicken. We also ordered the shrimp tacos (4 tacos). All of the dishes we ordered were delicious. The grilled salmon that came with the salad was cooked just right. The sea bass was as good as and the melted cheese in the risotto was just right and not overpowering the overall flavor of the dish. And my daughter had no complaints on the rigatoni as she cleaned up her plate. And saving the best for last was the shrimp tacos. The shrimp tasted so delicious and fresh that I wished we had more, but with all the food we had, the shrimp tacos outshined them all. And not to forget our server, (I forgot his name God bless his soul) he was very sweet and personable, with a happy demeanor. Hope they pay him well because he was very attentive to our needs. Overall, my wife’s birthday celebration, even though it wasn’t elaborate, it was a very nice experience and we will definitely will come back if we’re in the area. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Amazing food, excellent service. Unusual setting with views out over downtown and the distant hills. Comfortable temperature with the clear plastic awning down over the glass "balcony rail". (February). A gem!
