Rooster's Wood-fired Kitchen is thrilled for its first expansion since 2012, opening at The Bowl at Ballantyne with more than 30 years of culinary tradition and craftsmanship under its belt. Rooster's is known for elevated simplicity with dishes that allow seasonal, often locally sourced ingredients to shine. With this location, Rooster's debuts a refreshed approach to interior design with a nod to the outdoors and the recreation of fly fishing. Enjoy signature dishes that showcase humble comforts, such as rotisserie chicken, hanger steak, grilled salmon, Margaux's succotash, mac & cheese, butter wilted spinach, and more in a relaxed, light-filled dining space or on the expansive patio.

Went to celebrate a birthday. They were out of Prosecco or any type of champagne. Bread was cold, not warm, just cold. We requested a different sauce to go with the pork loin but were given the same jam as it came with. The prosciutto pizza did not look appetizing at all (manager agreed). When we asked for a birthday dessert, they said they ran out of everything except pumpkin pie. We tried it bc we wanted to have something for a celebration but the pie was still semi frozen. At the end we spoke to the manager. The response we got was they were still figuring out glitches. We spent $200 and we left disappointed and did not even want to take the leftovers home. The only thing that was good was the side dishes. We got the Mac n cheese and Brussels sprouts.

Not my favorite experience - food was small portions and some came underdone.

Very loud restaurant. Could use some noise abatement decor.

We had 3:00 pm reservation for 6. Not crowded. First we had the menus for 30 minutes-made selections. Then told we needed to have dinner menus not brunch. Two of us had already decided selection. After finally ordering, we waited and a pizza order came. Mu husband finally had to start eating as it was getting cold. The other five entrees started arriving at 10 minute intervals. So everyone was starting the meal at different times. I waited and waited - finally told it would be there. Waited some more. EVERYONE ELSE HAS FINISHED. Waitress asked manager to come over. He proceeded to tell me that the salmon was taking much longer to cook. Remember all other 5 meals have been eaten. He said he would comp my meal. The sweet waitress told the true reason for the delay-the ticket or order to the cooks did not go in. When it FINALLY came I had it boxed to take away. I would have been eating alone. We had been there for almost 2 hours and we were scheduled for a Christmas concert. The sweet waitress was extremely apologetic and offered two complimentary desserts. I took that in a box as well. She was not responsible for delay/confusion. The manager manager used the cooking time as an excuse and not the truth of lost order. Again, the restaurant was not overly busy and many vacant tables. FOOD PORTIONS: pizza, French fries, and chicken were the only items that portions looked adequate. My order of salad with added salmon was skimpy at best. Tiny piece of salmon on top of not much salad with added few skinny pieces of pears. Others meals looked skimpy as well. I chose this place as we have had great dining several times at the Roosters South Park. This whole experience at Ballantyne was disappointing and sad. On a positive note, our Christmas concert was wonderful. Prayers for God’s blessing to all who might read this.

Being a newly opened place in “the bowl” location I knew there would be some hiccups. The food was really perfect, waitress was so sweet and the ONLY complaint was the Drink orders! We had to ask for water to be brought to the table and we waited on our Drinks from the bar… no kidding 20 min. I felt like i needed to order my second drink before got my first because it wouldn’t arrive before or food. apparently there was a big graduation party and not enough staff to take care of the bar. I’m sure we will go back because the food was so amazing.

We've been to the Southpark location many times. The Ballantyne location is a must try.

This location has newly opened and they seem to still be working a few things out to be expected. For example they were out of sweet potatoes at 5PM. It took awhile for us to be initially greeted and water to arrive but everything was great after that. Parking is horrible at the Bowl so arrive early. Our server was only 4 days new but she was quick to go ask questions and return with answers. The food was fabulous. The wine was great and has a charitable tie to Nobles’ Nonprofit. This location is collecting toys for giveaway. We enjoyed our visit and will return!

Our server was Trish and she gave delicious recommendations! Started off with the pimento cheese and crostini with 2 drinks and it was easily one of the tastiest spreads that I have had. Mains were salmon cakes, which my husband throughly enjoyed and I had the short rib hash with a sunny side up egg which was also fantastic. We were glad to hear that curtains/blinds are on order. The ambiance is wonderful except for the bright sun in the afternoon. Then this location will be perfect!
