   Stopped into The Rooster's at The Bowl on our way back from vacation. Had pizza and onion rings. It was great. We really like Rooster's. The only negative was our server was too chatty. We were trying to have a conversation about our vacation and the server kept interrupting. Nice guy, but we were trying to recount our vacation and kept getting interrupted with the the server's thoughts on the food, etc... We will definitely be back, but would advise to simply "read the room". Some people want to talk to their dinner partners and not really have a full blown conversation with the server. That said, we still had a good experience and we will definitely be back.

   We had some issues but the manager, Joey, took care of it. Great service and felt appreciated! Hubby ordered a bottle of wine at the bar, which we brought to the table but after a few sips we didn't care for it. Then when we sat down at the table they gave us a different wine menu with a bigger selection (why don't they just have one wine menu for the bar and resturant?) Hubs talked to Joey- they credited the other bottle and we bought a different one, which was very good. We order the pate (very good) and enough for 4 of us to have some. The Brussels sprouts and calamari were very good. The roasted cauliflower was good too. Hubs had the hamburger and said it was the best one he has had - and he's picky - so kudos to Roosters for that! The ambience is nice and upbeat. It was a good night.

   I’ve eaten at other Rooster locations and enjoyed. This missed the mark. I ordered kale salad which was not great and the Salmon. Salmon was cooked great but the items it came with were lacking flavor. Also ordered the sweet potato side which was probably the biggest let down.

   This was an excellent experience. We loved our other Roosters but chose to go to the new one because of the Menu. Steak Tartare on Bone Marrow and a foie gras terrine got our attention. It was excellent. Rooster used to do this at Southpark but only as specials. Since the Banking Crisis and then the pandemic these items have not been around. It was a welcome treat and reminded me of the Roosters I know and love. Since both are about the same time from my home I can do both and uptown when we have plays.

   With so many good things on the menu, finally ordered a salad and it did not disappoint. Colorful greens, fresh variety of veges I don't keep at home and a delicious champagne vinegarette, not too much. A few bites of my partner's roasted chicken (our favorite) and that was enough for a light weeknight meal.

   It was an anniversary celebration which had been noted when I reserved. The young hostess was clueless and offered a tiny table in the middle of the room. The reservation was specific about the seating. When I refused that table, she then located us to a more desirable table. Otherwise, it was lovely evening. Tim, our server, was attentive and pleasant. The food service team worked well together. The hostess just didn’t seem to be on par with the rest of the team that we observed. Our food was fabulous and topped off by the luscious coconut cake.

   Upon entering the restaurant, the aroma of the woodfire oven permeates the space and makes it feel warm and cozy on a cold winter day. We had a very young and polite waiter, who tried to make our experience enjoyable and pleasant from the start. Which it was, for the most part. He explained the menu thoroughly and told us that the majority of entrees did not come with a side dish, everything was a la carte. We thought that was "interesting" because a single serving of most side dishes started at $9+. A problem occurred when my husband ordered a Gibson martini made with Hendricks gin and a twist of lemon. Our young waiter confessed to not knowing what that was, so my husband explained it in detail. What came back the first time was a pale yellowish beverage in a martini glass. Expecting a clear liquid with a twist of lemon, my husband tasted it and said that they had mixed a lemonade concoction with the gin. NOT what he ordered. So, after apologizing the nice waiter wrote down every detail that my husband explained and came back with a short glass filled with a shot of gin and a twist of lemon. Again, the waiter sheepishly apologized (it wasn't his fault). So, I suggested that the manager come to the table, which she did. Honestly, I don't think she knew the difference either, but she conveyed our serious disappointment to the bartender. Finally, the bartender (presumably a different one than the one who made the first two drinks) and placed a Hendricks martini with a twist of lemon in front of my husband. She proclaimed, "this was made with love!" We gave grace to all, because they couldn't have been nicer and more apologetic. But really? A martini of this type is Bartending 101! There were 3 of us who ordered. Chicken, salmon, and a hamburger. My friend and I, each had a side dish (beets and butter beans). The food was good but not great. So, I'll wait a few weeks and try again. With a little more experience, the young staff should be more knowledgeable.

   We went for brunch - the food was good. Half of the meals came out incorrectly, so we had people eating at staggered times. There was not a ton of urgency to get things fixed, but eventually, everything worked out. They were really thoughtful about a celebration for one of our guests, offered a free dessert, and had a nice card prepared for him.

    First visit. Liked it ~ however we wish there were one or 2 more egg selections for Sunday Brunch ~ otherwise we enjoyed it
