Root & Bone draws its name from the staples of the American diet: meat and vegetables. It promises to deliver culinary excellence with southern charm.
Rooted and raised in the South, Chef Jeff McInnis grew up with southern comfort food and hospitality in his blood. His partner, Chef Janine Booth, hailing from Australia, brings with her a true passion for uniting people through food. This power couple already boasts several successful restaurants across the country and the Caribbean, with numerous accolades including three James Beard Award nominations. They are thrilled to be opening their fourth Root & Bone here in WNC. Root & Bone will showcase their southern-inspired cuisine with a modern twist, featuring award-winning dishes such as the Sweet Tea Brined Fried Chicken, Braised Brisket Meatloaf, Grilled Peach & Tomato Caprese Salad, and Barbecue Spareribs, alongside classic casual items like the R&B Burger, Crispy Fried Chicken Biscuits

What a hidden gem! Food was delicious. Drinks were fabulous. Highly recommend the short rib meatloaf. Will defintely be back to try more!

Everything was fantastic! We sat at the bar for dinner and all the staff was knowledgeable about the menu and the area. We had the chicken biscuits to start. The chicken was cooked perfectly and the jam was to die for! We both had the burger with pimento cheese. Luckily we had some left over so we could it enjoy it the next day. We will definitely be back on our next trip to Hendersonville

The bloody mary bar is lack luster and both bloody mary mixes are extremely spicy. I like spicy food but at least one of the mixes needs to be at least palatable without burning your stomach. Food did take quite a while and they were not busy. It was 11:30am on a Sunday. The music level was pretty high

The food was delicious as always. The service, first class. Our favorite spot never disappoints us!!!!

We have ate at this restaurant three times & have loved it each time. We like to go on Wednesdays when whiskey drinks are half price. The food is wonderful & the service is excellent!
