Root Down and the Edible Beats Family (Root Down, Linger, Vital Root & El Five) are very grateful to welcome you to our restaurant.

Our menu features eclectic, globally-influenced seasonal cuisine, with a focus on organic, natural and locally-sourced ingredients.

Our interior dining space has the classic vibe of a neighborhood restaurant, while our large main patio offers picturesque views of the near neighborhood and downtown skyline.

Reservations are available online at ediblebeats.com, as well as OpenTable. We happily accept walk-ins as availability allows.

Our space is available for private events year round, please inquire with us directly for information.

Please be aware we are located in a residential area, and parking is available in the near neighborhood, along with a small paid-lot located directly across the street from our location.

    Came here the day before my birthday and forgot it was my birthday, but the dinner and conversation was so good that it was a great birthday time anyway! Had almost everything on the happy hour menu - highly recommend!!!

    The vegetarian sliders hit the spot. The sweet potato fries and dip were delicious and cooked just right. The lentil soup was a fantastic change with the apple chutney in it. Over great experience and would recommend!

    We had a delicious dinner. Since we had 5 of us, we were able to sample quite a few dishes. Our favorites were the beet salad, the rockfish tom kha, the short ribs and a papparadelle mushroom dish. For dessert, the chocolate hazelnut pie and the carrot cake were amazing. Our server was great and the dishes were served with just the right amount of time between the courses. The only negative was that we were somewhat close to the front door and since it was a cold night, every time the door opened, we felt a cold draft (we kept our coats on). A vestibule would really help.

    Root Down put on a very good Valentine's Day show. The food, service and professionalism was stellar. They left no stone unturned and we benefitted from all their planning and hard work.

    The Valentines Day menu was meh at best. For a total of $280 for two with tip I expect to be wowed. The appetizer was very small. The Caesar salad was ok. The main course was semi warm. The desserts were awful. My husband took a bit and had to down a glass of water while exclaiming what was that. If you want to pass out from the heat on the porch this one is for you.

    The food was delicious and visually a work of art as presented on the plate. We went for Valentine's day, and Root Down created the perfect atmosphere to celebrate love. The service was amazing, and the staff were super helpful, attentive, and had a wonderful positive energy. I forgot to ask the name of our server, but she was excellent, as was Grace, who helped us make sure our reservation was perfect.

    Root Down always delivers on amazing dishes, excellent service and cool ambiance. A favorite that has never disappointed.
