   We love the family style setting for this event!! Additionally, what is so great about Roots Southern Table is that Chef Tiffany has trained everyone and I mean everyone so well from the sous-chefs to the experience leaders to the manager so that IF she has a schedule conflict and can’t be there, the event is still as special and delicious, flawless and spectacular as if she was!! Great job everyone!! The food was so yummy I ate waaaay too much!! I tried the expresso martini for the first time and it knocked my socks off.

   This was the 2nd Black History Month event we attended. It seems that Roots scaled back on things this year. There was no signature cocktail included—-the champagne at the end did not suffice. The food was delicious but it wasn’t bountiful as last year. My husband and I were sat at a table with two other couples. Two trays of appetizers were sat on our tables. We felt like the amount of appetizers served were sufficient. At this same time we were told no to go containers would be offered like last year. The whole concept of family dinners is to take leftovers home. This was missed this year. The entrees and sides were not brought in twos for the six of us, therefore we had to sacrifice portions so all come taste…not completely enjoy. We were told no other entrees would be brought out and that we could ask other tables….. Well, that’s it for us. I imagine next year will be even worse.

   Roots is one of the best food experiences we’ve had in Dallas! A must for anyone looking for an amazing cuisine experience! Your tastebuds will thank you!

   Excellent service and the fried chicken was delicious. Also enjoyed mashed potatoes and shrimp and grits fritters. Drinks were delicious. Had old fashioned. Service was so nice. All staff had smiles and were eager to make our evening wonderful. Will definitely be returning!

   I thoroughly enjoyed my first visit to Roots! From the time she approached the table, I told our waitress- Aiyana that I was open to her suggestions & she did not steer me wrong! She was so welcoming. I felt like I was hanging out with my cousin. The food was very flavorful… Aiyana encouraged me to try whatever I was considering, so I wouldn’t regret not doing so. Needless to say… I definitely have leftovers. Thank you for a wonderful experience!

   Food is so delicious and the staff is very attentive. The Apple pie bread pudding was a beautiful winter dessert with cranberries and the homemade ice cream! Each bite was a different surprise in your mouth!

   I brought my family here to celebrate a birthday and it was fantastic. The staff is friendly and our server, Ayana was friendly, fast and thoroughly explained the menu and answered all of our questions. The food was fresh, well seasoned and hot. We ordered the skillet cornbread, halibut, redfish, short rib and lamb pasta. Everyone at the table raved about their dishes. I had the lamb and it was slightly too salty for my liking but otherwise very good. Overall I highly recommend this restaurant and suggest making reservations since the venue is small.

   The food and service here is amazing. My waitress was so very kind and the staff very friendly. I started with the deviled eggs, the ribs for dinner and finished with the orange cake for dessert. The food is also proportioned properly, seasoned and delicious.
