    Great food and service. Nice place. A bit noisy. Everything we had was excellent. Redfish, and short rib were outstanding. Beet salad and gumbo good. Bread pudding and bourbon selections top notch

    Had the greens and hushpuppies, fried chicken and biscuits, as well as a couple of old fashioned. The greens were superb. I have also said that if someone markets and then charges a significant amount for a commodity dish, then it better be executed flawlessly and be rave worthy. The chicken, while solid, was underwhelming. The crust was tasty and crispy. Yet the seasoning was not pushed through the chicken. The protein fibers of the chicken broke easily. With the darker crust and the dryness of the meat, it leads me to think the chicken was fried twice and over cooked. The biscuits are above average but not special. It's not a repeat for me.

    Going to Roots Southern Table was one of the things I wanted to cross off my bucket list and I'm so glad I was able to do that both I and my guests were enjoyed the food which varied from the Texas Redfish, Lamb Tangine and Shrimp fried rice. The cornbread was delicious as were the fried yams with garlic sauce. Will most definitely recommend again. The duck fat fried chicken looked divine, and will be my next choice.

    It takes 40 minutes for us to drive to Roots, but it was well worth it. The food is just excellent. Service was great as well. The Red fish was superb and the Hamachi Crudo was a step above.

    We hosted a very special guest for dinner last night and we had an amazing time. Briana and Ayana were awesome servers. The service, food, atmosphere and vibes were perfect for our pre Martin Luther King Jr. celebration.
