   Celebrated my wedding anniversary with dinner and drinks at Rosa Mexicano, the staff was amazing, friendly and attentive! They surprised us with a happy anniversary dessert that made our night all the better! Would definitely recommend.

   My family and I previously dined at the Rosa Mexicano in Orlando this past summer. We absolutely loved our dining experience at that location! When we recently visited National Harbor for a weekend trip, we were excited to visit the Rosa Mexicano location during our stay. Unfortunately, overall, we were very disappointed in our experience at National Harbor. Most disappointing was the food. Everything lacked flavor compared to our previous experience even though we all ordered the same dishes that we enjoyed so much from our Orlando experience. My wife and son both shared the table side guacamole that was prepared at a medium spice level. They both found it lacked flavor. They asked to have it made spicier, but that didn’t help. My wife and I both ordered the Mexican fried rice. Both of us found the dish to be so much less flavorful than our previous experience. I also ordered the chorizo sausage, which didn’t even look the same as before. It was red verses brown and it had a texture similar to a plant-based sausage, and again it lacked flavor. My son had beef tacos. He complained that the soft shells on the tacos had a weird taste. He ended up using the flour tortillas that came with my sausages, which he liked better. Again, just such a different experience than we had in Orlando. Since there are not any Rosa Mexicano locations closer to home, we won’t be able to see if this experience was just a location-based issue or a change in food quality across all their restaurants.

   We ate by the bar and it was empty, so it was nice and quiet. Food was great everything was nice.

   Our server was great (Jose A). The staff that made the table-side guacamole NEVER engaged with us. We would have made different decisions if she had (i.e., fewer onions, more jalapeño). Disappointing.

   The menus were sticky and dirty. The guacamole was 80% tomatoes and flavorless. The chips were bland and didn’t taste fresh. 1 of 3 in the ceviche sampler had no salt, the other 2 were better but not great. The birria tacos had some flavor however the tortilla shell was disappointing. For a nicer Mexican restaurant, overall we were disappointed.

   The quality of the food has suffered in the last year, beginning with their signature tableside guacamole. I'm not sure if there was something added to make it go "further", but it was bland and we ordered the medium spice. The margaritas had more ice than liquid refreshment. My enchaladas arrived "cool", even the cheese topping wasn't melted. They have reverted back to their old menu from a few years ago, and they are worn and torn. We've always loved Rosa's, we have been patrons for many years. I was so disappointed on this visit, which I fear to say was my last.

   Food was good. Especially like the mole. Staff is nice. They did make our table side guacamole without salt, but that seems like an honest mistake. Biggest issue—menus were disgusting. Food all over them. Old and falling apart. Didn’t really want to even touch the menus to decide what to order. Not a great way to start meal. Everything just looks/seems a bit old, worn, and dirty. Sad for such a beautiful space with decent food. The initial yuck is hard to overcome.

    The worst fajitas I have ever had Meat was tough with no marinade. Beans and rice were put in one soup bowl. Never seen that in my countless mexican dishes. Guacomole was plentiful with NO flavor Have a nanager call if you want to hear more. Dont expect you will call 210-273-7189 Service outstanding
