We had a wonderful meal from start to finish, and very kind waiters who let carry on our conversation until closing.

The food here is almost always stellar. This time I was disappointed in the tasteless winter tomatoes and the fact that the salade Nicoise didn't replicate the classic recipe. But my kir was one of the best I've had anywhere, and the rest of the salade was delicieuse, especially the seared tuna.

The branzino is fabulous and the vegetable soup special of the day was great, but the onion tart and endive salad starters were odd and unappealing. I would definitely go back for the branzino and would happily try other dishes, but the food was not uniformly good during my first visit. The service was excellent, the vibe was nice, and the location across from Politics and Prose is a big plus.

Amazing little Bistro. Not too busy at about 1:00 pm ish for Brunch on Saturday. Tables are a little close so if it had been busier the experience would have been a little more cramped. Service was impeccable. Waiter was friendly and attentive without hovering. The onion soup was truly delicious, better than a lot of French restaurants that we have eaten at! Ordered the vegetarian omelette (mushrooms, tomato & cheese) which came with a delicious side salad and breakfast potatoes. The salad was fresh and flavorful the potatoes hot and tasty. Of note, the Omelette could have used a little more flavor, a tad on the bland side but good nontheless. Also had the Rosemary Breakfast, Waffles were absolutely delicious as were the scrambled eggs and sausage was so good. Latte's were hot and coffee was of good quality, not just a cup of hot milk. Really want to make a note of how the food was brought out....not just cooked and brought out while your still eating your appetizer. It was deliberately timed for a few minutes after you had finished your first course., very much appreciated that level of awareness. Will definitely be going back to try dinner....what a gem.

I ate here twice last week! Christmas dinner for our family (seven people) was a delight; the place was full so it was a little noisy, but we weren't bothered by that. Sunday brunch (four people) a few days later was less crowded and perfectly quiet. Both times the food was excellent, the service was attentive, and we had a great time. I enjoyed the onion soup and beef tenderloin on Christmas and the Dover Sole looked fabulous too. The Belgian waffle and bacon on Sunday were perfect. Overall, a great discovery and I will be back next time I'm in DC for sure!
