Rossoblu celebrates chef Steve Samson’s two home cities, Los Angeles and Bologna, Italy. The menu features house made salumi, soulful pastas, market produce, and wood grilled fish and meats.

Located in downtown’s City Market South, the site of Los Angeles’s original produce market, Rossoblu’s vaulted dining room and open kitchen create a festive dining environment. The restaurant’s private outdoor piazza allows al fresco diners to feel far removed from the nearby city bustle. An intimate basement wine cellar can be reserved for private parties.

Rossoblu is a beautiful restaurant, I love the ambiance. I was disappointed in the food and offerings this time. Most dishes were done well but not special. I remember more unique selections on the menu in the past. The salami honey pizza was fantastic but the lasagna was bland.

Unforgettable Experience! This was, hands down, the best Italian meal of my life! The pasta was absolutely divine—every bite a perfect symphony of flavors that transported me straight to Italy. The freshness of the ingredients, the richness of the sauces, and the sheer perfection of the textures were unmatched. The service was equally impressive. Prince, our server, was a true gem—attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely kind. He made us feel so welcomed and took care of every detail with such finesse. His recommendations were spot-on and added so much to our overall experience. The ambiance was warm and inviting, making it the perfect setting for a memorable dining experience. If you’re looking for outstanding Italian cuisine paired with world-class service, this is the place. We’ll definitely be back!

It was our first time there, and it will not be our last. The food was phenomenal. The handmade pasta was superb. Excellent cocktails, too. Our server, Jonte, was gregarious and so engaging. Can't wait to go back, and also to take the pasta making class!

Not a good experience… the best part of our food was the seafood appetizer but both our main dish was not close to satisfactory. Don’t get the pork chop! It’s $69 and no flavor. They did give us gelato for our dissatisfaction.

The restaurant has plenty of seats and I like that the inside is not noisy. We didn’t order a lot of - a pizza, steak and a pasta. They tasted great but I would say personally I felt that the price was a bit high.
