Lorsque les frères Ash et Rajiv Gujral ont pensé à ouvrir un nouveau restaurant indien, ils n'ont voulu créer ni une salle à manger ultra-formelle, ni un petit recoin obscur. Le ROTI Indian Bistro marie donc un style contemporain et décontracté à la cuisine indienne classique. La designer Susan Gujral a créé un espace moderne et chaleureux qui allie des couleurs vibrantes, une riche lumière et des images qui rendent hommage à l'esthétique indienne. Les chefs emmènent les convives dans un voyage culinaire autour de l'Inde, offrant un avant-goût du Nord avec les plats de viande tandoori et un aperçu du Sud avec les currys végétariens. Des pains frais sont disponibles grâce au four tandoor en argile alimenté au bois de mesquite, typique de la cuisine indienne. Les ingrédients locaux et biologiques se mêlent aux épices indiennes traditionnelles pour créer un menu fraîchement diversifié. Le ROTI est fier de l'expérience culinaire qu'il propose. Il s'agit d'un ajout bienvenu dans le quartier animé de West Portal. Le service à la clientèle raffiné offert par un personnel attentionné de même que la nourriture fabuleuse ont établi une nouvelle norme de qualité dans le voisinage.

Very nice place. We share all the dishes so we were able to try everything. 3 different types of curry’s dishes. Excellent. Chicken, lamb, shrimp curries with rice and naan .

Tamarind chutney was jammy, paired beautifully with onion pakoras. Navrattan korma delighted my hubby as he tends to always order veggie dishes. As for me, I was captivated with the spicy, homestyle goat curry which is hard to find in most restaurants that fits my bill. However, the star of the night was the tamarind old fashion served with the classy large ice cube. The owner graced our table and we had a nice chat about his culinary journey. I would return to savor other offerings on my next visit to the city. Four stars due to the first moments of arrival and awkwardness with the hostess,however the co owner quickly corrected the oversight. All in all a great experience!

The three of us loved the chicken murgh, the yellow dal, the Palak paneer and the naan!

A cute little place in West Portal area that serves very good Indian food. We had a number of dishes. The stand-outs are: 1. The lamb korma was excellent - the meat was cooked just right and melted in your mouth. 2. Chettinad Pepper Chicken (one of the January Roti specials) was very good and the chicken was cooked just right -- the dish may be a little too spicy (i.e., heat) for some people, though. 3. Masoor, Moong & Urad Dal (another January special, a vegan lentil dish) is also flavorful and non-spicy. The cocktails are interesting, served with an Indian twist. The noise level can be high, given the tile floor and hard wood interior, when the place is full.

Great good, service and value. For dine-in Indian this is THE place on the west side of the City!

Love the food, neighborhood, staff and Owner. We come from Pacifica regularly to get our fix. Tandori mixed grill.
