Located in the thriving area of Phoenix's Roosevelt Row, Rough Rider offers a Modern American menu accompanied by unique cocktails inspired by recipes of the late 1800's. Venture down our private elevator and be transported back in time to a presidential lounge filled with delectable dishes and unforgettable libations fit for Teddy himself.
Enter the lobby through the glass doors located in the alley to the northeast and down the middle elevator to the basement.

I liked the ambience and vibe. The food was good. We were disappointed in the service, the time frame between food delivery may have been normal, but it seemed long to us.

After paying for our check we were asked to leave within two minutes while we were finishing our last cocktails so they could serve the next table… after spending over $800 not the service I would expect.

Stuck us at a counter against the wall in the corner. $30 for a cocktail is ridiculous and $18 to park is robbery. $150 pp for dinner seems to be the new norm, no thanks

Had a great time at Rough Rider. Our server was excellent, food was delicious but the noise level was a little high.

Normally they validate parking at the lot by the restaurant. Apparently, their login to the website was down and I had to pay $50 to park for dinner. The hostess took my name and contact information and stated they would be in contact with me. I have not heard back and was not offered any compensation. $50 to park at a restaurant in Phoenix is absolutely asinine. Food and drinks were great as usual, but the lack of follow up for such an exorbitant parking charge is unacceptable.

Food and service were outstanding. Had the bone-in pork chop and it was excellent. Only complaint is their parking situation. The app for the garage next door didn't work. Had to move my car 4 blocks to find another park and pay.

Good food, great atmosphere, awesome service....what more could one ask? We had early reservations on a Thursday evening and figured we wouldn't have to deal with a crowd, but this place was HOPPING by the time our dinner was over and we were leaving. Imagine going into a classy speakeasy in the early 20th century and you've stepped into The Rough Rider. Can't wait for a return trip to Phoenix and another visit to this place!
