   Rowleys was... fine. The food was OK (the whipped goat's cheese starter was excellent, and my partner's bavette looked pretty good, but my lemon sole was underwhelming) and we thought the service was nice - a little under-rehearsed but very willing. However, the bill was a bit eye-watering when it arrived. £180 odd for two and a half courses, two (apparently complementary) glasses of fizz and two glasses of mediocre wine? We were there just before 6.30, which was a good thing as it started filling up at 7-7.15 and the noise levels were off the scale. As I say, it was fine. But I'm not sure I'd go again.

   Wonderful as ever! Beautiful restaurant with fantastic food - the steak was amazing. Good choice of first courses and good wine selection. Rowley's never disappoints - it's one of our favourite restaurants!

   Despite being a frequent guest at Rowley's, I was disappointed today to discover the menu has changed and they no longer offer their meaty burger! This choice was something I have always looked forward to and the steak was just not the same level of satisfaction. I will be on the hunt for a worthy replacement to my tried and tested favourite.

   Fish and chips… forget. You’d get better in a Travel Lodge… but to be fair it’s a steak restaurant and not for fish. But £28 for fish and chips is just a joke considering Scott’s do an amazing one for the same price.

   Staff and service were very good. We both had steaks which were a disappointment. Cheese board not as advertised on the menu and expected it would be better. Overall not a gourmet experience but a nice ambience

   1st time for our group and it was excellent. Smoked salmon appetizer and Dover sole are winners.
