We have dined at Roxy many times, in fact every time we’ve been to Reno. This time however, it was probably the best meal yet. My wife had a lobster tail with garlic mashed potatoes and steamed asparagus. I had the filet with their glazed carrots. We enjoyed several glasses of Jordan Cabernet Sauvignon with our meal. Dessert was an affogato and we each had a Cafe’ Diablo prepared table side. Absolutely amazing! It’s why we keep coming back!

Pieces of shell in lobster escargot, Regular escargot over cooked and gritty like not being cleaned properly, Ordered prime rib medium received rare. We were seated under the window for the servers to get sushi. The souffle was great and the server was very professional.

The food and service was outstanding. We were in a small room with a large group next to us and two children age 7 to 10 were running around the table screaming. The staff did well but the parents and family ignored the entire commotion. This was during 75% of our meal and caused a romantic evening to go awry.

Roxy is a very nice and upscale restaurant. Everything is $$$ and à la carte. The meal was very good. We valet parked. Cost was $15. I asked the maitre de if the restaurant would validate the parking. No was the answer. Roxy is a couple of times a year dining destination.

Overall a decent meal. Realize that you are in a casino, so really can’t be that elegant. Waiter was hard working. Seated us ten minutes early. Cocktails were good. Entrees were good but also very expensive ($50-75 each). Room was loud. We had five people and it was a table for 7-8, so made it difficult to have conversation.

We came for dinner to celebrate a birthday. We had a nice table and our server was friendly and professional. Our cocktails were excellent and we ordered a baked lobster appetizer for the table to share. Each bite was melt in your mouth delicious! Next, was the beet salad and it was very good but too much greens so next time, we will skip and save room for the main course. My husband and I shared the prime rib (medium rare) and both servings were very generous. Cooked perfectly but unfortunately was a little tough. My son had the New York steak and said it was a little chewy. For the prices, I would expect better cuts of meat.
