You’ll find an elegant dining experience with a relaxed and refined atmosphere at the Prince of Wales Hotel with the Royal Stewart Dining Room, Windsor Lounge and Afternoon Tea.

Take part in a time honored Waterton tradition with Afternoon Tea at the Prince of Wales Hotel. Inspired by British tradition, Afternoon Tea features a selection of teas from Jolene's Tea House (Banff, Alberta) and a variety of delectable sandwich squares and pastries. 24 hours are required for any dietary restrictions.

Tea is served in the Royal Stewart Dining Room, which overlooks Waterton Lake for some of the most spectacular views around. Join us for this unique experience daily from 12 PM to 4 PM during the summer operating season.

Looking for Dinner, join us in the Royal Stewart Dining Room between 5 PM - 9:00 PM and watch the sunset while you dine on locally inspired dishes.

The Windsor Lounge is open seating with first come, first served.

    The Food and service was absolutely amazing, Ashley our server was fantastic, she was so detailed in her service and explaining the details of every meal. She was great at convincing us on how great the features of the day would be. We cannot wait to come back and enjoy more of the wonderful food they create here. A very warm and welcoming atmosphere, the food made it feel like we were eating a home cooked meal.

    Even though it was the last afternoon tea of the season, it was pretty busy. I’m glad I booked a reservation. Service and food were excellent.

    Feel special with a booking for high tea and enjoy an afternoon the way our Mother County England has for centuries. It is a modern way to be treated like royalty without the old confinements of expectation. The flavors will endlessly wow your palate and the service is sure to please as everything is explained to you in great detail. Be charmed with the added bonus of this historic setting and the splendid mountian views.

    Adrien was amazing. Kind, attentive, knowledgeable. He was able to translate my undecidedness into great choices. His recommendation on dessert was the best and I will go back for more. Very professional and personable. Good and drinks were great.

    This was the last weekend they were open and they continued to provide an excellent experience. Dining out in Waterton can be an expensive affair and this is now exception. Nevertheless you would pay a similar amount in downtown Calgary at an upscale restaurant but without the unforgettable setting so very good value overall. Definitely worth the treat. The food and service were top quality and I would not hesitate going again.

    Beautiful dining room and gorgeous setting! We had the High Tea and everything was very good. My only issue was the flies in the dining room. Our server said they came from a nearby elk herd!

    Very enjoyable evening out. We also stopped by the lounge for a pre-drink. I enjoyed the stories our waiter and presenting the menu with humor. Some items were not available due to it being the end of season but they were upfront about changes. Definitely worth an evening out especially with the views!

    Had a lovely meal at the Royal Stewart Dining Room. Our server Ericka was friendly, knowledgeable and very hospitable. With only 4 days left in the season there was excellent attention to detail for our food, and the servers were so pleasant and helpful to each other. This was a great experience. Will come back again!
