Rudy's Steakhouse is the premier steakhouse of Salem. They take great pride in their gold medal winning steaks, aging their beef in house and hand cutting their steaks daily. Their soups are made from scratch and are known to be some of the best in town. All of their gourmet sauces and salad dressings are also made from scratch, using only the finest ingredients.

Trying one of their award winning fresh Marionberry infused cocktails is a must! Their Marionberry Lemon Drop might be the most famous cocktail in Salem. Furthermore, their Marionberry Cobbler and Blueberry Bread Pudding are some of the most incredible desserts you will ever try!

Kailani is an excellent server! Just superb! New York Strip ordered medium was still very pink. Ok, but expected less bloody juice at medium. Maybe medium-well next time. Everyone seemed happy with their meals and a good time was had by all.

My salmon was over cooked and dry. Crab cakes did not taste fresh. Like they were frozen premade rather than made with fresh crab. First time I’ve ever been disappointed in Rudy’s quality

Wonderful food and excellent service. My ribeye was done to perfection. My date had the salmon and it was very good. Overall, an enjoyable evening.

They had a lighting issue so several of their overhead lights were flashing throughout the entire meal. I was also disappointed I was handed the check and told to have a good night without asking if we wanted dessert.

Rudy’s is clearly the place where power brokers and lobbyists ply state legislators in Salem. Old school style steakhouse with prices to match. The food and service were excellent and the wine and bourbon lists are impressive. Unless someone else is paying, this is not an every month type of restaurant. But if you want a high quality steakhouse experience, this is the place to go in Salem.

When we arrived, I waited until 10 minutes before our reservation time to let the staff know we were there. The employee was less than welcoming and seemed irritated by me checking in. We were seated shortly after our reservation time, which is reasonable to me. Our table was in the middle of the busy dining area. The wait staff kept bumping into our seats as they walked by, during the entire meal. This was quite distracting. Our waitress was pleasant. The building is beautiful, inside and out. We all chose different meals. The food was good but, definitely not worth the over $650.00 price tag.

Amazing service by all staff, but especially by Ellie. She was attentive and personable, checking in often to ensure all our needs were met. Her attention to detail made our special evening, my husband’s retirement celebration, even more memorable. Side note: the wood smoked cocktails (my husband chose the Flamed Orange Old Fashioned) were fascinating and delicious. I also appreciate that we could bring our own special bottle of wine and drink it with a small corkage fee.

The hostess was obviously sick. She had a terrible cough and wasn’t careful about protecting others from germs. Very disappointing.
