Rudy's Steakhouse is the premier steakhouse of Salem. They take great pride in their gold medal winning steaks, aging their beef in house and hand cutting their steaks daily. Their soups are made from scratch and are known to be some of the best in town. All of their gourmet sauces and salad dressings are also made from scratch, using only the finest ingredients. 

Trying one of their award winning fresh Marionberry infused cocktails is a must! Their Marionberry Lemon Drop might be the most famous cocktail in Salem. Furthermore, their Marionberry Cobbler and Blueberry Bread Pudding are some of the most incredible desserts you will ever try!

    Rudy’s is clearly the place where power brokers and lobbyists ply state legislators in Salem. Old school style steakhouse with prices to match. The food and service were excellent and the wine and bourbon lists are impressive. Unless someone else is paying, this is not an every month type of restaurant. But if you want a high quality steakhouse experience, this is the place to go in Salem.

    When we arrived, I waited until 10 minutes before our reservation time to let the staff know we were there. The employee was less than welcoming and seemed irritated by me checking in. We were seated shortly after our reservation time, which is reasonable to me. Our table was in the middle of the busy dining area. The wait staff kept bumping into our seats as they walked by, during the entire meal. This was quite distracting. Our waitress was pleasant. The building is beautiful, inside and out. We all chose different meals. The food was good but, definitely not worth the over $650.00 price tag.

    Amazing service by all staff, but especially by Ellie. She was attentive and personable, checking in often to ensure all our needs were met. Her attention to detail made our special evening, my husband’s retirement celebration, even more memorable. Side note: the wood smoked cocktails (my husband chose the Flamed Orange Old Fashioned) were fascinating and delicious. I also appreciate that we could bring our own special bottle of wine and drink it with a small corkage fee.

    The hostess was obviously sick. She had a terrible cough and wasn’t careful about protecting others from germs. Very disappointing.

    On a cold and rainy day, what better than to tuck into Rudy’s for lunch with a friend, starting with one of their benchmark Spanish Coffees, hot rolls, and their delicious Apple Gorgonzola Pear entree salad—just perfect after days of hosting Holiday meals at home!

    Ordered…. after 15 minutes was told first choice sold out. Food delivered lukewarm, both plates of meat were overcooked and flavorless, (50% of one plate was discounted), sat with empty drinks for over an hour (and it was not especially busy ). We had our server “visit “ (more of a run by) 3 times (one of which was to tell us prime rib was sold out) in an hour and a half visit. (We felt as though we had been banned to Siberia!) We have been coming here for anniversary for years (for the experience) and this experience definitely left us lacking ☹️.

    By far the best fine dining in Salem. The filet mignon is perfection. Atmosphere is cozy.

    It was a lovely experience dining there today. It is a cozy and elegant set-up for our family Christmas dinner. The presentation of the entrees could have been plated a little nicer, but overall we enjoyed our meal. The service was friendly and attentive. It has been our best dining experience in Salem to date.
