Host was nice but still had to wait nearly 30 mins after our reservation time before we got seated. Server was rude and kept talking to us in a demeaning tone. Not to mention her lack of understanding personal space. I.e. her coming over our shoulders at face level unexpectedly and close by, and asking if we want dessert. We could feel her breath. Food was mediocre and greasy. Tea was probably the only good thing here. Was expecting more out of a Persian restaurant that is hyped up to be “high end”.

A repeated issue is the delay in getting your table despite reservations and multiple open tables. No excuse to have guests wait 10-15 minutes

I’ll start by saying the food was amazing. My husband and I were out to enjoy a celebratory meal with my parents. Our order consisted of 2 very nice bottles of wine, 2 cocktails, 3 appetizers, 4 entrees, and 2 desserts. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of our meal and experience, until… we closed out our tab - which was quite pricey given the order described - though that was to be expected. What tainted an otherwise perfect experience, was when the manager (I assume) addressed us by saying “I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but the next party for this table has checked in.” He made us feel rushed to leave, and we were quite taken aback as we had just closed our tab just a few minutes prior, and still had half glasses of wine on the table which we were casually finishing. This was at 8:45pm and our reservation started at 6:45pm. Nowhere did our reservation list a seating time limit. So, while we thoroughly enjoyed 95% of our evening, this very poorly executed interaction at the conclusion of our meal essentially spoiled the overall experience and curbed our appetite for another visit.

Rumi's is our new favorite restaurant in Houston! My husband and I have been here 3 times in a months time. The food is absolutely delicious, and the ambiance is perfect. The decor of the restaurant is gorgeous. The drinks and wine list are great. The wait staff is very professional and attentive. I highly recommend this restaurant, a perfect venue to celebrate an anniversary, a birthday or just to celebrate Saturday night!

I’m pretty picky about Persian food, so trust me when I say this place was incredible. From the appetizers to the entrées and even dessert, everything was top-notch. Highly recommend!

As always this resturant and all the staff go above and beyond!! The food is consistently amazing!! Christina took such good care of us tonight and is always so pleasant and sweet!!

The food and service was outstanding! Our waiter was Julian. He went above and beyond to accommodate our group. Excellent service and the restaurant is just beautiful. We had a wonderful birthday celebration and had the most delicious platters. We will be coming back soon!
