   We had a good experience, the size of the meals was value for money. The chicken Parmi “hangover” was huge couldn’t finish it. Thank you

   The meals were really good. I had the calamari and loved it. Friendly staff. No complaints whatsoever.

   I had the seafood special and was somewhat disappointed, which is unusual for the Runcorn Tavern as usually I enjoy the food. The calamari was tough and overdone and the prawns obviously no so fresh. Perhaps more disappointing was that this was a $42 meal. Overall for this experience 4.5/10 when usually it is a 9/10. My wife's meal and my sons meal were fine.

   The menu is always good catering for seniors and young ones. Everyone enjoys the salad bar.

   This is our local Tavern and we've been coming here a very long time. Normally once a fortnight but we might try somewhere different. Last night my husband had Fish and chips - the fish was lovely but the chips were cold even when he first tried them. Last time we visited, he asked for a medium steak and it was more like well done. My son and I both ordered a pizza and they were delicious and hot. I'm only a small person so I knew I wouldn't eat a whole pizza but figured I could get a to go box and take the rest home. Well, no I couldn't because they don't do that - apparently because they have a part buffet they won't give boxes to take your meal home. Whilst I understand the idea it really upset me that honest people are being denied the right to take our purchased meals home because they are worried that we all must be going to steal from the buffet. I did wrap my leftovers in a serviette to bring home.

   We always enjoy the food and service at the Runcorn Tavern. The food has been very good in recent years (our best compliments to the chef and their team), and often it is exceptional for the price. We visit several times a month.

   We went the week before and the food was amazing so went again this week and we were disappointed . The food was overcooked. Burger patty was burnt and the chicken parmy was dry.

   I had the Buffet - the salad side was OK, however the "Hot" Buffet side, the food was too cold there isn't enough heat in the hot box to keep the food hot
