Depuis plus de 85 ans, le Russian Tea Room accueille les moments culturels déterminants de New York. Depuis que les membres du ballet impérial de Russie ont fondé ce restaurant en 1927, des acteurs, écrivains, politiciens et hommes d'affaires s'y sont retrouvés pour planifier leurs marchés et fêté les dernières performances au Carnegie Hall de leurs amis.

Delicious dinner at the Russian Tea Room! My husband had the sea bass and I had the scallops. The atmosphere is as romantic as it ever was. The prices are a bit high, but the food was wonderful and this is a special place. It’s a New York icon for a reason. On a side note, any negative reviews I’ve read were for tea. Despite the name, I don’t think this is really a tea place. Go for dinner, and you won’t be disappointed. All the dinner reviews were glowing.

We had a great experience. We had the royal afternoon high tea. Food was delicious and service was great.

Excellent service and atmosphere! The brunch was perfect. We celebrated his 13th birthday with a mother son trip with friends! Gorgeous restaurant. Prompt service. No complaints!

The room is, in its own way,, beautiful -- over-the-top 1920s -style, all reds and gold. It says, "You're in for a treat." The service is efficient and attentive -- worthy of such a room. Unfortunately, we came there to eat. The bread was stale; amuse bouche like cardboard; chicken Kiev mouth-puckeringly dry; stroganoff noodles massively overcooked. Only the fish was close to what it should have been. In short, if you want a grand experience, RTR is worth seeing. If you want food, go elsewhere.

Surprised by how small the duck portion was given the price. Remember to get your waiter’s attention for the check or you’ll be waiting a really long time! Medovik (Ukrainian Honey Cake) is very rich as an FYI

The pace of service was extremely slow. For example it was a full hour and a half between the appetizer and the main. The whole dinner was nearly 3 hours. Service was scarce and the food was flavorful but just above average.

Poor service, had to advise staff we were ready to place order, never checking in, we had to ask replenish water. Light bulbs out in Chandeliers, carpet ripped… be careful not to trip.

Bailee was a great server, we were extremely happy with her! When I made the reservation, I had the choice of the prix fixe and a standard reservation. I selected the standard reservation, because we just wanted appetizers and drinks before a show. When we got there, the only option was the prix fixe. So we couldn’t get any food unless we got a three course meal, which we didn’t want to do. It seemed to be a common misunderstanding, because we overheard many people saying the same thing. It seems like an oversight on someone’s part. I’ll definitely go back on not Valentine’s Day, because it’s very much my vibe and I loved the atmosphere. I just wish I could’ve had some food.
