Rustic Kitchen has been serving the local Mar Vista community and surrounding cities for over eight years now! We are a family owned restaurant, sourcing local ingredients and serving up quality dishes that reflect our southern California heritage as well as our family’s Italian roots. Chef Noelle likes to focus on quality ingredients and straightforward preparations. Customer favorites include steak frites, Branzino, chicken pot pie, pan roasted salmon, BBQ pork chop and our super popular RK burger. The wine list is second to none having been recognized by Wine Spectator magazine with their level two Best of Award of Excellence (2-glass) for 5 years in a row. We offer over 60 wines by the glass, flights and more. RK is here to make your wine journey fun and educational. Tuna Tartare was fabulous. It came with taro choose which would have been enough but I ordered baguette. I was thinking it would be a crunchy French baguette but it wasn’t. Not great. Wine selections are vast and interesting. I had a lovely glass of Moschofilero. Yummy.

Lovely and intimate. Personal service. Nice Portuguese vinho verde and branzino. Avocado fries are the bomb!

A neighborhood gem with well crafted food and an excellent wine list. Always offering seasonal specials too. You can make this a regular in your restaurant rotation!

always great food, we had good service too. We sat outside and the table behind us was pretty loud, but it subsided after awhile. Love this place! My husband had short ribs, and the other 3 had some variation on poke or ahi salads.

This is one of my new favorite local places. The people are lovely, and the wine offerings are ridiculous! We tried a flight and tasted two more and now have 5 wines we absolutely adore. And the food was delicious.

Came here for my husband’s birthday dinner. Menu looked great but unfortunately, it didn’t live up to the hype. There was tuna tartare and tuna crudo listed on the menu. My husband and I ordered the tuna tartare and the beet tartare to share. My daughter and brother each ordered the tuna crudo. What we got were two tuna tartare and two beet tartare. We sent one beet tartare back and asked about the tuna crudo. We were informed that the tuna tartare and the tuna crudo were the same thing. Really? The chef needs to learn the difference between a tartare and a crudo. The taro chips that were served with the tuna tartare were thick and soggy. The beet tartare was just ok and served with rather dry slices of bread. We were then informed that they were out of lobster and so no lobster rolls for me or my husband. He ordered the branzinno and I ordered the special of penne in a cream sauce with shaved zucchini. The branzino was cooked perfectly with a nicely crisped skin. The penne dish was inedible. The cream sauce had broken and was clotted. The zucchini was overcooked and mushy. What a disappointment. The high notes were the breaded and fried avocado, the branzino and the steak. Service was ok but we kept getting different servers which was a bit confusing. Overall, a very disappointing meal.
