I want to start off by saying the food is incredible, absolutely amazing. The service, on the other hand was just ok. We had a reservation for 7pm but we were told it would be another 5ish minutes for our tables, which happens. No big deal, you can’t rush people out, what bothered us is that when we asked where we should wait (the hostess stand is next to a small bar that was already packed) we were just told ‘up the stairs’. Ok, unfortunately the hotel lobby and the Tavern were also overly packed. So we sat by the elevators which were also right next to the men’s restroom. Not very appetizing but you gotta work with what you got. We finally got sat at 7:20. Our server was just ok. She greeted us and room our order, food runners dropped off the food, and bussers cleared the table. It was the most basic service, no small talk, no banter, no “what are we celebrating”, nothing. She took our order and walked away. Which I guess is the basic job description, but when you’re paying $40-50 per entree you expect a little more attention and personality. I had also called 3 days before our reservation to ask about a corkage fee as we wanted to bring a bottle of alcohol-removed wine (we were celebrating a friend’s 1 year anniversary of being sober). No one knew the answer and I was told I would receive a call the next day. Of course I never got it despite giving my information (which they also already had for the reservation). Maybe these are just one-offs, and the food was really good, but I’m not sure we will be back. It’s small, it’s cramped, and there’s just no personality.

Love this restaurant (always eat in the Tavern off the lounge). Food is always very good and the service outstanding. Generally busy but not overly loud so it's a perfect place to dine with our family including our mom who is 94 years young. Highly recommend Rye

We recently celebrated our wedding anniversary at RYE. The food was extraordinary—every dish was beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. We both loved the featured duck. The service was impeccable! The staff went above and beyond to ensure every detail was perfect, making us feel truly valued. They even surprised us with a complementary champagne toast to commemorate our milestone. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience! We highly recommend RYE for any special occasion—or even just a memorable night out.

Cecilia was fantastic- she answered our questions and helped us decide on what to order! She was friendly and upbeat. Had the waygu burger and chicken Marsala both were so flavorful and yummy paired with the best old fashions (which we always have when we come here!!) Just make sure you make a reservation!!

Excellent food, friendly staff, cozy environment. Only thing is that there was a smell of some kind of perfume or candle upon entry so we almost turned around, but we were seated in back of the fireplace area which was better. Food and service definitely worth it.
