   Meal was excellent! However the three of us were charged $20 for a 6oz glass of wine !! Totally rediculous and many restaurant’s we’ve dined at charged $13 for 6oz and the wine was fabulous!

   We had an amazing anniversary dinner, Neely took great care of us! SS Dion is a favorite spot for us. The food and service is always fantastic.

   The food and desserts were amazing ! The pasta , tomato salsa and desserts were home made ! We will definitely be back !

   We ordered 2 pasta dishes which were very good,if overpriced. We each had 2 glasses of wine- my Chardonnay was $19 per glass! Was very noisy, partly due to loud next table. Our waitress Megan was very helpful and pleasant. However,I did like the menu and ambiance of former owners. Also, pricey for a Fri nite out!

   Our waitress was very friendly and helpful with suggestions for food and drink. Two of us had baked scrod and one swordfish, all meals were excellent.

   We have been to SS Dion several times recently and have enjoyed it every time. Favorite choices are the mushroom campanelle, the chitarra, the baked seafood casserole, and the haddock and vinegar peppers. And we have never been disappointed by their specialty cocktails. This is our go-to choice in Bristol.

   We sat at the bar, very cozy, fire burning in the fireplace. Low light, which I prefer. I ordered a scotch and water on the rocks. One shot cocktail. Very weak. Dining partner said same about his gin and tonic. Calamari for appetizer. I thought it was very good, tender and nice flavors. Dining partner said it was the best he’d had in a while. A glass of house wine was $15.00. For dinner we both had the plate that consisted of a trio of items: small piece of cod, 2 baked stuffed shrimp and 3 scallops. All presented together in a small hot cast iron skillet. Plenty of food. Looked great, however, it was bland, food sitting in way too much butter. Nothing had flavor. I’m not sure the liquid was all butter either. Lacked a nice buttery flavor. Side was the honey roasted brussel sprouts. Very good. Again, my friend enjoyed his entree more than I did. Overall… the ambiance in the bar is very nice. Bartender was attentive. Drinks were lousy, wine expensive. Food ok.

    Customer service is where the restaurant truly shines. Our waitress, Megan, was nothing short of exceptional. Her attentiveness was evident throughout our meal as she ensured that every course met our expectations. She thoughtfully refilled our water, expedited food delivery, and offered insightful menu recommendations. Megan’s friendly demeanor and dedication elevated the entire dining experience—a clear standout in hospitality. She unquestionably deserves recognition for her impeccable service. The complimentary bread served upon arrival was a delightful beginning. Soft and fresh, it paired wonderfully with the butter and spicy sauce, setting a promising tone. The highlight of the meal was unequivocally the chicken wings. These were among the best I’ve ever had—tender, fall-off-the-bone meat bursting with flavor. They easily earned a perfect 5/5, showcasing the kitchen’s potential for excellence. We opted for the sirloin steak, accompanied by pasta with marinara sauce and fries. The steak was cooked to perfection as requested — Medium rare. While the accompanying mushrooms & sauce were rich and flavorful, the blue cheese addition was overpowering and similarly disagreeable. The pasta, however, redeemed itself with simplicity and consistency, earning a solid 4/5. The fries were crispy, perfectly seasoned, and equally deserving of a 4/5 rating. I will definitely be back but for their seafood options.
