   Sehr ruhige und entspannende Atmosphäre - ist schön bei dem Lärm auf den Straßen. Man sollte unbedingt nach dem Brot des Hauses als Appetizer fragen. Das servieren sie mit hausgemachtem Humus - beides einfach super lecker.

   Service was not as described. Perhaps the had an off night. Meets was outstanding. You can forgo the grilled meats and desserts.

   The food and service were exceptional! We took recommendations from our server and were all very happy with our selections. They have a nice wine list, too.

   Absolutely wonderful. This was our first trip to Egypt and we celebrated this occasion by dining at Sabaya on our first night in Cairo. Since it was Ramadan, we chose this restaurant particularly since they served a traditional Iftar meal (which ends the daily fast). Upon arrival, we were greeted with warmth and grace and shown to our table for what turned out to be a fabulous evening. We experienced tastes we hadn't had before .. one dish was more flavorful than the other. Portions were very large and, in fact, there was enough food for at least one more person. Service was impeccable .. attentive, yet unobtrusive. We started with complimentary juices (the date and apricot nectars were sweet and delicious and re-filled upon request). The menu included a wide variety of traditional Egyptian food, including grilled meats, vegetables, rice, bread, salad, hummus and so on and so on. The meal ended with a selection of delicious desserts. Throughout the meal, which lasted several hours, our gracious server check in with us to see how we were enjoying our meal and whether we needed anything. The restaurant's decor is beautiful, tables are large and there is space between tables (not always the case). This allowed for a quiet and private atmosphere which we really appreciated. As a matter of fact, we enjoyed Sabaya so much that we made an additional reservation for our last night in Cairo. Would absolutely recommend this restaurant.

   We were looking for ancient Egyptian restaurant with variety of lamb dishes (as it displayed on fotos). Actually we've found only kofta. Set of sweeties was plain and not extremely soft. Cheese plate was frugal. Service was rather fast, but when we'd revealed that our baby chair had been broken, we have not got any response or help.

   Assolutamente perfetto. Ottimo cibo, nell'ambiente, ottimo servizio e prezzo assolutamente nella norma. Inoltre era il mio compleanno e Said Mr. Happy mi ha omaggiato di una deliziosa (ed enorme) torta. Consigliato

   The food was poor at best. Lamb chops were tough as old boots. Boneless Chicken was NOT boneless either.

   We stayed fairly traditional in terms of middle eastern cuisine during our two weeks in Egypt and Sabaya was one of our top dining experiences. The menu is fairly traditional but exceptionally well executed. The cold mezzes including humous, labne , eggplant, and tahini were top shelf as were the kofta and other meat dishes we sampled. Service was attentive and with typical Egyptian warmth. The space inside the Intercontinental was very pleasant. Absolutely worth a visit if looking for a traditional Lebanese/middle eastern dinner in Cairo.

    Just awesome. Staff was very attentive, food was excellent. It was one of best fine dining experiences I have had in past 12 months.
