Basically half the menu was crossed out with black marker and then they closed early. The waitress said they were going out of business. I felt so bad but I wish them luck in future endeavors. I understand the limited menu just wish it was different for the last time. Also I hate the radical vegans who poured fake blood on the floor and protested them into non-existence. Now there’s one less vegan dining option.

Food came out cold. We had to basically stop our server and introduce ourselves before he acknowledged our existence. It wasn’t even busy. We went at 3pm

Wow! To say I love this place is an understatement! I live in Orange County but came up to Pasadena to see the Rose Bowl floats up close at the Floatfest and we came here for lunch. I wish this restaurant were near my home. But I'm also glad it's not because I wouldn't be able to resist coming here at least twice a week. The food and spirits are organic and regenerative with everything from bison meatballs to venison flautas and lots of fabulous vegan options too. Both the food and the ambiance are just wonderful! Can't wait to go back!!

Respecting that we dined on New Years Day following the Rose Parade, the food on the menu looked great and what was served was fantastic. But we canceled the cauliflower appetizer when our entrees arrived and we didn’t get our beer and cucumber martini until half way through our meal. Sadly disappointing start to 2025

Waited 30 mins for our server to take our order when I tried flagging him down three times. Took 45 mins to get our food.

We visited Sage a year ago and returned when we were back in Pasadena. In the interim, the menu changes from vegan to sustainable with meat, but there are still plenty of vegan and vegetarian options. They have good selection of beer from their brewery and kombucha if that’s your thing. We visited on a slow night. Or server was sweet but not very attentive. We had to go looking for someone to bring more drinks. The food is very good! The cauliflower trio appetizer was huge and delicious. We will definitely return when we’re back in Pasadena.

Food was excellent--lots of favor and not too much of anything. Value is great--got generous servings for everything. Ambience is wonderful--very festive for the holidays but in good taste. This place is great for conversation and fellowship. Will definitely come back and bring different special people to enjoy the good life.

I am not sure if this restaurant has changed owners. The quality of the food has usually been amazing, however, I have not been here for over a year (we moved). We started with the variety fried cauliflower. The flavor was OK. My friend had tacos and they were extremely spicy. I had the bison burger, which was as spicy. They had huge jalapeños in the burger. I had one bite of it and left the rest. Interestingly, the waitress did not ask either of us why we didn’t eat our meals. I was there primarily for the conversation with my friend and did not complain to the wait staff (that is on me obviously). It just makes me sad because I really used to enjoy going there. I doubt I will be going again.

The bathroom situation needs to be corrected. Disabled people like my friend, cannot walk over down stairs around the corner to the bathroom or go down steps to the elevator for upstairs. There was a homeless person in the outside bathroom who pooped all over the floor. I had to get someone to clean it. They need a restroom IN the restaurant- I won’t go back for that reason. It costs about $20k to put in a bathroom.
