Sailor Jack’s is the top restaurant in Benicia for seafood served with California flair. Located on the scenic Carquinez Straits, our seasonally changing menu offers something for everyone at breakfast, lunch, weekend brunch and dinner. Named for author Jack London who lived nearby and loved the area, our menu is naturally complimented by a carefully curated selection of great wines and signature cocktails also available in our comfortable upstairs bar. Located in a historic (circa 1868) sea captain’s home, the waterfront view setting is unique in Contra Costa, offering two floors and several charming rooms (plus outdoor deck and patio) where you can enjoy an intimate date for 2, a meal out with friends, or a major family celebration.

Everyone enjoyed their meal. I had the petrale sole, my husband had the fish and chips, our friends had Mahi Mahi tacos, and clams and chips.

Wonderful beet salad and moules/frittes were great but portion size precluded considering dessert. Outstanding meal with a new IPA to finish.👏👏👏

They did not save the table I asked for and did not ask me about our Celebration. Service was a little slow for the few number of people that were there. But the food was good and the view lovely.

We really love this place: food, service and location are great. My only small problem is that if you choose to sit outside especially near the "windows ", the tables are set on dirt which if you're wearing sandals or flip-flops like my girlfriend, your feet can get a bit dirty.

Wonderful place with friendly service. Location is hard to beat! Love the views! The food is always great quality and lots of choices to please anyone.

This was an anniversary lunch for my wife and me. Despite it being a busy Saturday, we were treated like the only customers. It make a special occasion one to remember. Every staff member who served our table was cheerful, attentive, and accommodating. We want to thank them all. The food was delicious. And our table with a view of the bay was magical. We'll remember the day, and look forward to returning again to Sailor Jack's in the charming little town of Benicia.

This was our first time dining at this restaurant and we will definitely return. My girlfriend and I had the Crab salad and Shrimp salad and shared each with one another. The fish was extremely fresh. One other guest had the French Toast and the other the Fish and Chips. Everyone enjoyed their meal. Service was outstanding. The view was also very nice sitting by the water. Definitley an established restaurant in an old building.

Very disappointed that sourdough bread is not offered until 11:30 PM and we are forced to eat biscuits with seafood.
