Saison Wine Bar invites wine lovers or anyone thirsty to enjoy a very personal list curated by Mark Bright and our team of Sommeliers, complemented by French wine bar fare. The vast wine collection - available by the glass, flight, or bottle - leans heavily into France while highlighting extraordinary global producers and our neighbors in Northern California. We showcase benchmark as well as niche labels, with deep verticals and highly allocated bottles. Our menu is designed for groups large and small to snack and savor, from traditional Croque Monsieurs or Pâté en Croûte, to our Signature Caviar Service and robust Charcuterie and Cheese program featuring imports and local artisans. The richly textured, classic "Saison blue" space offers banquettes, booths, and bar seating. We host winemaker events regularly. We are proudly part of Saison Hospitality - only a few minute walk from two Michelin-starred Saison! Our team is always here to taste, chat, or simply cheers. You're next!

Very nice wine bar experience. The place is really pretty. The team does an excellent job with service. They are all very likable. The cheese boards and charcuterie plates, the salad and the other items were all delicious. The wines were not spectacular nor that unique. They were just ok. I'd like to see more uniquely curated wine flights. I had a lovely time, but I wouldn't revisit.

I had a headache from the noise after an hour but the food service ambiance and value at happy hour were almost worth it

I made a reservation in advance for 5:45pm and I got notice to confirm my reservation which I did confirm. We showed up at 5:40 and no one greeted us, and it was hard to talk to anyone to ask about our reservation. When we spoke to someone and asked about our reservation; they said they were working on it. We then stood at the bar, and no one handed us menus or asked us if we wanted to order a drink. Finally, at 6:10 we got a server to talk to us; give us a menu and order a drink. They then said they are trying to get us our table and that he only worked there one day a week, and it was not his area to figure out our table. Around 6:25 a manager came over to mention they were trying to get us our table and could he offer us some French fries. Around 6:40 we were finally seated at a table and then were able to order some food and drinks. No one wanted to deal with us or even acknowledge we were there. It is not a good reflection on Saison and was quite disappointing. I took my staff out for the evening, and we are in customer service, and I would give this staff a minus; truly sad that you put 18% on for gratuity.

We were somewhat disappointed on the food. We've been to Saison (the restaurant down the street) and loved it so we had high expectations. The $1 Happy Hour Oysters and fries were excellent. However the Pommes Dauphine had no taste and were room temperature at best. If there was cheese there, we sure didn't taste it. Also the Pate was extremely cold - could have used a bit more of room temperature. The champagne selection (Happy Hour) by the glass could have been expanded. A rose brut and Dom Perignon were the only two choices. Would have been nice to also have had a brut less expensive than the Dom. The bread, butter and radishes (marinated) were loved by some but not all in our group. Other than the Champagne comment above, I thought the wine list was good. We had to flag our server down a few times and she did offer some guidance when asked but didn't suggest anything on her own. To be honest, for the cost and the experience, I don't think any of us will be back.

Best wine bar in SF! Flights and wines by the glass are extraordinary - Dom Perignon and Chateau d’Yquem anyone?? Who does that? Mark Bright does! Highly recommend. Also amazing croques and house made charcuterie

From the moment we walked up we new it was going to be bad. We arrived 5 minutes prior to opening and were told we had to wait. This was after standing at the door while the manger was sitting at the bar. The food was just ok we expected much more. The wine was ok but nothing exceptional. Service was at a 2 at best. For all the hype definitely not worth going.

Great food and service . Lots of quirky fun on the menu. Great wine choices It's rare to get such a casual vibe at a place this serious about its wine and food.
