   When we arrived to the location we were immediately seated, but we noticed that all the seats were tightly pushed together. So we spaced them out because we were supposed to have 2 sections. The “manager” claimed that one of their hot tops was out of service so instead of letting us know that before hand, she packed us in one space. I refused to let my party be uncomfortable so after several minutes of going back and forth she accommodated my request of my original booking. My reservation was at 5:30pm, the hibachi cooks didn’t start preparing our food until almost 6:45. The food and drinks were very good. Just wish the customer service was up to par.

   Our family celebrated a birthday at Sakekawa with a visit to the Hibachi table. The chef did an amazing job with the tableside show. The food was delicious---as always! Sakekawa is a great place to celebrate!!

   Three former colleagues meeting for lunch and to catch up. I ordered Salmon tartar, very fresh and tasty. Another lady ordered hibachi salmon and she loved it. The third lady ordered a dish from the lunch menu and she enjoyed it.

   The best hibachi in The Woodlands is at Sakekawa. We also have a favorite server - Geena.

   Our chef was excellent. Quick and seasoned everything perfectly!!! The rice was not over salted at all. Truly perfect food. Great crunch and shaggy dog rolls. Restrooms need updating and deep cleaning. There is an unpleasant sulfurous sewage like odor in the restrooms, entryway and main corridor near the host stand. There is obviously a plumbing issue going unresolved and this is gross. Hosts were warm and welcoming. Server was very nice but never refilled drinks (water and sodas) until we were out and literally some with dinner. I had to drink my husbands water otherwise I’d have been parched.

   Great atmosphere and great food! We sat at the hibachi table for a birthday! Everyone had a great time and enjoyed the atmosphere. Will definitely be back

    I have been bringing my grandchildren here for over 10 years for their birthdays. The quality has gone down significantly. The front door staff was not very welcoming and when we sat down the table area had a strange dirty smell. It seemed to take a while for everything to arrive and our appetizers came after we were served soup and salad. The sushi however was outstanding. We progressed through dinner nicely but then waited for our grandsons birthday song/drums/dessert since I had said twice on the reservation it was his birthday but it never arrived. The other table mates left and when we reminded the waitress it was my GS BD she said "happy birthday". Then we were given a menu to order dessert which we did. At that point the manager came over and told us they needed to seat people at our table and when we explained the situation we were instructed to wait by the bar. We cancelled the dessert (which she kindly told us she took off our bill for us🙄) and we were eventually given our check. We will not return to this place again and if our grands request hibachi for their Birthdays again we will go to Shogun.
