   As usual, excellent service and wonderful food. My husband and I like to sit at the sushi bar where we enjoy watching the chefs prepare dishes. Johnny, the chef working directly in front of us this time, was very helpful in picking out different items to try. All his recommendations were delicious. Sakura is one of our favorite places to eat in Girdwood.

   Hands down the best sushi place in the whole state of Alaska! This is the only sushi place I’ve found that serves fresh Alaskan salmon (& a variety of types). The chefs are wonderful and sitting at the bar is always pleasant. Gray staff, beautiful setting, lively food - thank you.

   It was fabulous. We had a fabulous Matre De and the food was amazing. It was a very special evening and we will never forget how kind and hospitable every one was. Thak you so much.

   The sakura was ok not great like the Katsura (former Name) It was an over priced benihana. Service was better at Denny's.

   Sakura is the best Teppanyaki bar that I've experienced. The food is exquisite. Within the past few years, they've also started a combined menu with the Sushi Bar. As a result, one gets the best of both worlds.

   Located in the Aleyeska Hotel in Girdwood, AK. There is no one to seat you on arrival. Even with a reservation it is first come first served with regards the sushi bar. This is just another Japanese restaurant/sushi bar. There are better restaurants in the area--especially the Double Muskie.

   Best salmon sashimi we've ever had, and the open grill prepared cod & salmon were fantastic. Great sake selection chosen by our server as well. If only I lived in Girdwood I'd go there often!

   The service (our waitress was awesome, good personality and sense of humor), the chef took his timet o prepare our food accoedingly. and the drinks were good as well

   Four of us dined this past weekend, and the food was good, but not great considering the price. One of us ordered the steak and added shrimp, and the shrimp were overcooked. Steak and vegetables were ok. Not bad, but not terrific. Service was mediocre. The server had too many people to wait on at one time. It wasn't terrible, but considering the price (about 60-75 a person with an appetizer, drink and a scoop of ice cream for desert), you expect to get really great on the spot service. We had to compete for our server's attention with about 14 other people seated around the table. I have been to the Sushi Bar of Sakura twice before and it was excellent! Most definitely recommended. But the other side, not so much

    My husband and I enjoyed our dining immensely. The atmosphere, food and service were great. I will recommend it to me friends and family. We do hope to return some day.
